The mask suddenly broke in two as the beys clashed against each other making Legend Spryzen burst and made a strong wind. Everyone who was watching gasped and was shocked at this, but the shocked ones were Y/N and Valt, Shu's childhood friends. Red Eye, who was revealed as Shu walked away after a frustrated cry, Valt was too shocked to move as Y/N ran over to him.

Y/N: "Shu! Hey!"

Shu kept on walking ignoring Y/N's plea for him to listen to her. Y/N then grabbed his arm and she now was in front of him.

Y/N: "Shu. Hey, listen. We looked for you everywhere. Why don't you come back home with us?"

Shu didn't respond instead he pushed her out of the way, making Y/N fall back, by tripping her feet as well. Her head then hit on a rock, making her unconscious, blood was seen on the rock that her head landed on. Valt and the others called her name in a panic. Shu walked away not looking back as Valt ran to Y/N as the rest of their friends caught up to them to check on Y/N's condition. They tried waking her up by calling her name but she never responded. Everyone then quickly took her to a hospital.

Doctor: "Apparently, your friend has gone into a coma. Due to the damage from how hard she hit her head, she will likely lose memories."

Valt and his friends all gasped in horror. Valt with his tremor voice asked.

Valt: "W-When will she wake up?"

The doctor sighed and looked Valt in the eye.

Doctor: "We do not know how long she will be asleep. Could be weeks, months... possibly years."

Everyone felt dreadful at the news. Valt looked down a small shadow cast over his eyes clenching his fists. A question that bothered him.

Valt: 'How will Shu react to this...?'

Valt and Shu were on the cliff on the edge looking over the canyon while the rest were off somewhere. Valt had become the new champion after the competition. Things were going smoothly before Shu brought it up.
