The empty ballroom was bathed in a soft, silvery glow, the light of the moon filtering through the open window high above. The grand space, once filled with laughter and music, was now quiet—its only occupants were Shu Kurenai and Y/N L/N. The polished floor reflected the faint light, making it seem as though they were standing on a pool of moonbeams.

Shu, ever composed and elegant, held out his hand to her, his crimson eyes gentle, a small smile playing on his lips. It was rare to see him so at ease, the weight of the world lifted from his shoulders, even if just for this moment. Without a word, she took his hand, the warmth of his touch grounding her, reminding her that this was real.

The music had long since faded, but it lingered in the back of your mind—a ghostly melody that guided your steps. Shu's movements were graceful, his every motion fluid as if he were born to dance. Y/N followed his lead, your steps matching his, the two of them moving in perfect harmony. There was no rush, no urgency—just the soft sway of their bodies, the silent conversation shared through every touch and glance.

The moonlight caressed Shu's pale hair, turning it into a halo that framed his serene expression. Y/N couldn't help but admire the way the light softened his features, making him seem almost ethereal. He caught you staring, and his smile widened just a fraction, his hand gently tightening around yours as if to say, 'I'm here'.

As the night deepened, the world outside seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of you and the soft glow of the moon. Time lost its meaning; you weren't sure how long you danced, only that it felt like both an eternity and a fleeting moment. The quiet comfort of Shu's presence, the way his hand rested lightly on your waist, and the warmth that blossomed in your chest were all that mattered.

When the moon finally dipped lower in the sky, casting longer shadows across the room, Shu slowed your steps until you both came to a gentle stop. Neither of you spoke, the silence between you filled with unspoken words and emotions too deep to express. His hand lingered in yours, and in that moment, with the night still wrapped around you like a blanket, it was as if the entire world had been reduced to just the two of you.

With a final, tender squeeze of your hand, Shu leaned in close, his lips brushing softly against your forehead in a gesture so intimate it made her heart flutter. He didn't need to say anything—the look in his eyes, the way he held her close, said everything.
