Y/N gathered the water using her bending and lashed them towards the bandits. Valt clashed his sword against the bandit's small one and pushed him back making him stumble back and Valt attacked him back.

After slashing and clashing against a group of bandits now lying unconscious on the ground floor. The two water tribes let out a couple of breaths. Valt wiped some sweat from his forehead as Y/N held her pouch and shook it upside and only some droplets dropped out and walked towards Valt.

Y/N: "Come on, Valt. That was a lot of beating. Let's go find a nearby river and camp there."

Valt nodded. Y/N took his arm and wrapped it around her neck and helped him walk properly and quickly get out of the crime scene. But neither one saw a white-haired figure hiding in the shadows.

The two water tribes had found a river and had set up camp. Valt was taking a small nap and Y/N was gathering water and filling it into her pouch. She pulled a bucket up to her side and water bent some water into the bucket and carried it to the tent.

She sat by Valts side and placed the bucket by her side and bent some water and bent the water spinning until it glowed brightly and she hovered it over his face and let it work its magic. As she was patiently healing Valt she narrowed her eyes and glanced to the exit.

Y/N: 'Is someone there? Could it be those bandits again?'

Y/N stopped her healing and put the water back in the bucket and moved it away from Valt in case he knocks it over once he wakes up. She got up and opened the tent flaps and looked around their area.

Walking out of the tent and walked out into the open field, basically which Y/N was asking her for her death. She held onto her pouch and opened the lid ready to bend the water and ice them. Hearing a swift movement behind her, she turned around quickly and bend the water at the intruder and iced the ground the figure missing.

Y/N looked at the now icey ground with confusion until she felt some sort of heat behind her and she instantaneously turned around and bend at the water knocking them back. The person fell back and landed on his butt and was now soaking wet from the impact.

Y/N was about to attack again but he paused herself when she recognised the intruder. Despite the fire nation clothes, she knew that white hair was anywhere. Putting the water back inside the pouch she put her hands on her hips not looking very happy.

Y/N: "Shu?! What are you doing? And what were you thinking sneaking up on us like that?"

Shu stood up and brushed himself off and patted his shirt feeling a bit wet from the water attack from Y/N.

Y/N: "Wait a second... Were you following us this whole time?!"

Y/N glared at the albino boy who held no guilt in his face. That pissed her off even more. She swiftly turned around back to the tent to finish her healing session with Valt. Shu followed her and explained why he was there.

Shu: "Valt had asked me to follow you guys. I didn't ask but I would guess is probably for your safety."

Y/N: "I'm a water bender and can handle a fight."

But Shu's next sentence made her stop herself. A step away from entering the tent. As if someone had full control over her body to go any further.

Shu: "He told me you had learned... a new technique."

Y/N sighed and walked away from the tent and went to sit on a small rock and stare at the water streams flowing. Shu followed her and stood next to her and leaned against the rock.

Y/N: "I wouldn't call it a technique. To me, it's more of a curse."

Y/N stared into the distance and they both stayed silent only the streaming water was filling up their silence. Shu pushed himself off and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.

Shu: "Don't worry. That technique may be dangerous but you don't have to use it unless necessary."

Y/N just stared at him deeply digging into his words and turned back to the streaming water. She smiled and nodded thanking him. They heard a tent rustle and both turned to see Valt walking out of the tent yawning and rubbing his head.

Y/N and Shu let out some chuckles and Y/N hopped off the rock and they both walked to Valt to greet him. Valt looked up at them and smiled brightly and waved at them.

Y/N: "Are you feeling alright, Valt? I haven't fully finished yet because of a certain someone."

Y/N glared at Shu who blocked it off. Valt let out a nervous laugh and said that he will be fine. The healing session Y/N gave him was enough and had held enough strength to heal himself.

Y/N: "Alright. But call me if you need more healing."

Valt nodded and went off to collect wood leaving Shu and Y/N alone. Both glanced at each other when Y/N broke it and turned and headed inside the tent. Shu sighed and followed inside and saw Y/N practising her water bending.

Shu: "So, once Valt gets back. Want extra company joining you guys? I could help you out with that new skill."

Y/N paused in her bending of the water and the water also stopped. She glanced back at Shu and that memory was brought up again. She wasn't sure when she will use that technique again. If she loses her temper she might get Valt caught up in her bending so she could only reply with one word Shu smiled happily.

"Sure."
