AUTHOR [P.O.V]

Y/N and Shu were heading to their apartment. They lived next door with no parents around. Shu's parents were workaholics, and Y/N's parents were just traveling as a pilot and flight attendant. They were planning to have dinner together, and dinner was Y/N's specialty.

They walked past Bey Park and heard a cheerful voice call out to them.

???: "Hey! Shu! Y/N!"

They turned to see Valt running up to them, waving his hand.

Y/N: "Hi, Valt. How you doin'?"

Y/N waved to him with a smile. Shu gave him a soft smile.

Shu: "Hey, Valt."

Shu nodded to him.

Valt: "You guys heading home?"

Y/N nodded to him, showing him the shopping bags.

Y/N: "Just got back from shopping."

Valt's eyes sparkled.

Valt: "Are you gonna make Carbonara?!"

Y/N laughed, looking at Shu, who sighed.

Shu: "Not today. Y/N will be making her specialty tonight. A reward for me, she says."

Valt then wanted to come over to try her cooking. He had never had her signature dish. Shu was about to say no, but Y/N said it was fine if they cooked in her complex. Shu sighed and nodded, and they could do it at his flat. Y/N smiled at him and walked to their apartment, with Valt skipping behind them.  

Y/N: "Sorry for the trouble, Shu."

Shu shook his head.

Shu: "It's fine; it's not every day you cook your specialty."

Y/N smiled softly at him, and they continued walking to their apartment.

Valt sat patiently on the couch as he cleaned Valtryek and listened to the TV. Y/N and Shu were preparing for Y/N's specialty. The sound of the meat sizzling filled the air.

Y/N was cutting some cucumbers when she looked at Valt to see him laughing about something on the screen.

Y/N: "You know, it feels like we're cooking for our child."

Shu froze for a second but continued cooking the meat.

Shu: "We do take care of him like he's 5 years old again."

Y/N laughed, lifted the cutting board, and poured the sliced cucumbers into the salad bowl.

A few minutes went by, and Y/N finished adding a pinch of salt to the dish. She then placed the dishes on the table, and Shu added some vegetables and the cutlery.

Y/N: "Hey, Valt, dinner's ready!"  

Valt then shot up from the couch.  

Valt: "Sweet!"  

He came over, sat down, and started drooling. His eyes sparkled as he took a bite; he was literally in food heaven and started to scarf down the food, making Shu sweat drop and Y/N chuckle at his actions.  

Y/N: "Glad to know you're enjoying it."

Valt, with a full mouth, nodded, and Shu sighed as he ate from his plate. Looking over at Y/N, who was laughing at Valt, he smiled as he thought of their future, if possible, and if it were to happen.
