Teen Life

Chapter 3

Meeting the other contestants

Diago Shaw

This was a complete disaster, how the hell am I supposed to live in this house for three months with all these losers? Hopefully people won’t like me and vote me out of the house the first chance they get. Maybe if I hit one of them really badly I’ll get thrown out.

I took in the scene unfolding around me. There were five other guys and six girls standing around watching each other carefully as they introduced themselves to each other. I had no idea what their names were and I honestly didn’t care to. I have to admit that the two blondes are pretty hot though, especially the one with the little black skirt.

“Hey, I’m Diago,” I said as I walked over to her and grabbed a hold of her arm, pulling her around so that she was facing me. Her eyes went big for a second as a hint of fear passed through them but then her lips turned up into a smile.

“I’m Taylynn,” she said, holding her hand out to me. I took it in mine and pulled her closer into a hug. I heard a little gasp escape her mouth and couldn’t help but smile to myself. I let her go after holding on to her for a few more seconds then I should have and watched her back up from me, the fear she was hiding now prominent in her eyes.

“Hi, I’m Lainey,” I heard somebody say and watched as the other blonde approached Tailynn. She smiled with relief and started talking to her like they were old friends. I turned around deciding that I really didn’t give a crap and was going to take a look around the house when I found myself face to face with some punk kid. His blonde hair was sticking up in every direction with green and purple streaks decorating it. He had on baggy pants and a band T shirt. He had chains hanging around his arm and neck as well as from his pants.

“Yo dude, you almost crushed her,” he said with a sly smile on his face.

“Well, that body is worth crushing,” I stated, holding my hand out to him.

“Storm… Storm Coleman” he said grabbing my hand and shaking it, the guy had a strong grip, I was impressed.

“Diago Shaw,” I replied, taking an instant liking to him which was quite strange considering I hate most people.

“Definitely worth crushing…” he said, staring at Tailynn as she talked to Laney.

“So why are you here?” I asked, wondering why any sane person would willingly enter into this competition.

“For the money,” he answered, giving me a strange look which told me that he thought it was obvious.

“And you?” he asked.

“Stupid fucken parents made me come,” I answered, wishing my plan to get rid of them a year ago had work, it would have if it wasn’t for our stupid neighbors.

“Oh… so you don’t like them much?” he asked, getting all into the conversation.

“There’s nothing to like,” I replied honestly, they’ve made my life miserable since I can remember, why couldn’t they just except me for who I am instead of always trying to change me.

“Mine’s ok but I get where you’re coming from dude,” he said shaking his head like what I said made perfect sense to him.

Sage Johnson

All the kids looked so much older and bigger than me, I know I’m small for my age but I still hoped that they wouldn’t all come across the way they did. I felt terrified as I watched them.
