Chapter 11

Day 2

I didn’t get much sleep at all and by the time the alarm went off I was actually grateful. It took me a long time to fall asleep after Shiloh and Gemma left last night and then when I eventually did I kept on waking up. Tailynn slept through the night but she kept on making noises, she didn’t scream, more like sobbing and scary moaning sounds. It freaked me out.

I felt dirty, not having taken a shower yesterday but after what happened with Tailynn I was way too scared. I quickly got out of my bed, grabbed some clothes and ran to the nearest bathroom. If there was a ghost in there it was going to have to scare me if it wanted to because I really needed a shower.

I stripped off my clothes letting them fall to the ground and got into the shower, only realizing that there were cameras in the bathroom when the water was already running. It stupid of me to not think about it but all I could do now was hope that nobody was watching and that Riley wasn’t going to be angry with me about it. He knows me better than anyone else, he knows I’m not that kind of girl. I am proud to be his girlfriend and to be a virgin. I’ve had boyfriends before him but I never slept with any of them. I’m not just going to sleep with somebody because they wanted me to or because everybody else was doing it. When I lose my virginity it is going to be special.

I worried about my nakedness in front of the camera for the rest of my shower but by the time I got out I decided that there was nothing I could do about it so I was just going to have to get over it since I was going to have to do it again. My clothes were lying on the cupboard on the other side of the bathroom and the towel wasn’t in arms reach. I got out of the shower and ran for the towel almost slipping in the process. I grabbed a hold of it and tied it around my body.

I slipped my clothes on making sure not to drop the tile and then headed downstairs as the second alarm went off. I listened carefully to hear if the voice was going to come on and give us instructions of what we had to do but there was no voice. I made my way to the kitchen and found Gemma already busy making breakfast. I sat down at the table with Sage, Nariko and Brady wondering what today had in store for us.

I woke to the sound of the alarm going off and pressed my head under my pillow. The sound was unbearable combined with my throbbing headache. There was no way I was getting up for at least another few hours.

Langden Huang

I was awake long before the first alarm went off. I had to do some exercise and I wasn’t sure if I would get a chance to do it during the day. I hooked my legs on the top of the bunk bed and did some pull up, when I got to five hundred I took a breather and then continued by doing some sit ups, pushups and some of my martial arts training. I didn’t want to lose my concentration or become unfit while I did the show.

I didn’t leave my room until the second alarm went off. I waited to hear if there were any special instructions for us this morning but there was nothing so instead of heading to the dining room. I grabbed some fresh clothes and went to take a shower.

When I was done I got dressed and took a long look in the mirror hanging above the basin. It wasn’t a medicine cabinet like in the bathroom where Tailynn claimed to have seen something. This mirror was much bigger and had a gold frame around it, I could tell it was old and came to the conclusion that it’s been in the house for centuries.

I didn’t see anything in it except for my own reflection but I couldn’t help but feel uneasy. I have heard many stories over the years about mirrors capturing the souls of people. I have never taken much interest in such stories but my parents have always been really superstitious. They would close their dresser mirror at night before they went to sleep claiming that it was bad luck if a mirror caught your reflection while you slept. They also believed that you shouldn’t have two mirrors shining onto each other. If you get caught between the two mirrors your soul will be stuck in them.

I knew these were all just superstitions but I couldn’t get rid of the creepy feeling that’s been following my since last night after I broke down the bathroom door. I grabbed a hold of the towel that was hanging on the rail and threw it over the mirror, making sure that it was properly covered before leaving the bathroom and heading downstairs.

Storm Coleman

I got a bit carried away last night in the playroom and only went to my room when the house was quiet.  I figured everybody had gone to sleep so I took a quick shower feeling dirty from searching for the stupid key the whole day. When I was done I got into bed and fell asleep immediately.

I woke up this morning to the sound of the alarm but honestly couldn’t get myself to get out of bed. I had no idea what time it was when I came to bed last night but it didn’t feel like I got much sleep at all.

I looked through my window wondering what the time was now but couldn’t tell. The house was surrounded by trees hiding the sun completely. When the second alarm went off I groaned and listened to hear if there was any announcement but nothing came so instead of getting up I turned around and closed my eyes.

Sage Johnson

After what had happened with Tailynn last night both Noriko and I battled to fall asleep. We didn’t know what to believe but just the thought of a ghost was enough to freak us out. We talked for a while until we eventually fell asleep. I woke up to the sound of Noriko breathing heavily in her bed.

I asked her what was wrong and she told me that she had a nightmare about the ghost. I’m not sure if she told me the truth but I accepted her answer, figuring she had no reason to lie to me. The sun wasn’t up yet but since we were both awake we got dressed and headed downstairs.

We didn’t think that anybody would be awake and was surprised when we found Gemma sitting in the living room reading. She asked us if we were hungry. We said that we were and so she went off to the kitchen to make breakfast. We helped her for a while and then sat down in the dining room

Brady joined us shortly after, claiming that the smell of the food had woken him. Noriko blushed as he sat down next to her and told her that she looked pretty.
