Chapter Fourteen: Old Habits

Yui held up Ruby, who was giggling as (Y/n) held Aqua, who was asleep in his lap.

"It's been so long since I've seen you, Rubies! You've grown so much!"

Ruby smiled at her grandma as she continued to giggle. Enjoying the uppies she was getting.

"Aqua still asleep?"

She asked as she turned to her son, who nodded his head.

"Yeah, he was tired this morning… and to be frank so am I."

(Y/n) shivered as his body felt sore from last night with Ai. It wasn't a good kind of sore ethier. She wasn't very happy with him last night, due to his comments and the fact he was being hit on…

Yeah it wasn't fun.

"It's kind of disappointing Ai couldn't make it but, at least we can all have fun together… right?"

Yui said, while she wasn't happy that Ai wasn't here… She had to make the most of what time he had with her grandbabies.

"Yeah, of course we can, you said you had something planned?"

Yui nodded as She set Ruby on her lap. Smiling at her son.

"Yep, I've got a few things planned, though you should probably get Aqua up and ready to go."

(Y/n) nodded as he gently shook his son awake. His eyes fluttered open  as he looked at his dad.

"Ready to go have fun with grandma?"

Aqua quickly nodded as his eyes shined like shooting stars, a large smile on his face.

"Of course I am!"

"That's good, now come on, where to first, mom?"

Ai was alone in the apartment scrolling through Twitter before she had to go into work for a rehearsal for their upcoming concert. Her eyes saw tweet after tweet of praise for her, no negative comments whatsoever, but they were there. just hidden.

She sighed as she felt herself feel even worse. All she could think about recently was how she couldn't do well enough in her acting gig. Last night she was on screen for all of three seconds. (Y/n) still would be stressed at work. Those bags under his eyes hurt her everytime she saw them, her heart broke.

"It's all your fault."

Ai's eyes dimmed. Black pupils replaced her bright star ones as she closed Twitter. She didn't even want to go to rehearsal any more. She just wanted to give (Y/n) what he deserved. A good life.

Work, and parenting. It's all he knew for the past two years. Ever since she began pregnant with the twins, he worked for her and their children. Odd jobs at first, then part-time now a full time job. She was an Idol, she could support them. She could be the breadwinner for the family. She just had to make more money.

Ai got out of her seat as she began to head out to rehearsal. Her fist clenched. She would do better next time. She had to…

Yui smiled as Ruby ran around the small park Aqua was behind his sister rubbing after her.

"So how's Ai been?"

"She's been fine."

Yui nodded before she looked at Ruby and Aqua play. A nice silence followed as she enjoyed the silence and just watching her grandchildren.

"I just wish I could take some stress off of her."

"You're already working so much and you want to do more?"
