Chapter Fifteen: Hidden Talents

(Y/n) held a sleeping Ruby in his arms as he looked out towards a vast landscape, smiling to himself as he looked at Aqua who was standing by the Director's side. He didn't know this but the only reason he was here was due to Aqua's phone call with the Director. Who seemed more than thrilled to give him a part.

"Listen up, Precocious Baby."

The Director said as he looked at Aqua, Ruby, and (Y/n). They were looking at the director as he began to speak what 'wisdom' he had. The only reason they were here was due to Aqua's phone call to him. He got Ai in another movie but there was a catch.

Aqua had to perform too.

 "In Japan casting is mostly decided by the higher ups. The bigger budget that is allocated to a project, the less it can afford to flop. In order to get actors that will draw in viewers, the higher ups have their own battles to fight. Directors with casting power are but a few select heavy weights or those working on low budget, small scale, films. Can you guess which I am?"

"A Heavy weight dire-"

The Director shook his head and turned around to look at the scenery.

"Swing and a miss. Welcome to the set of a low budget film."

Aqua just looked at him and nodded. While (Y/n) approached the pair, Ruby in his arms.

"Director, I promise Aqua won't mess up your project."

"I'm sure he won't, but has the matter I discussed with your manager been resolved?"

(Y/n) nodded and smiled at Aqua, proud as can be.

"Yep, Aqua has officially been signed on with Strawberry Productions!"

"Good, you see, there'd be hell to pay if I used a kid who isn't affiliated with any agency."

(Y/n) nodded as Aqua looked at Ruby, who was sleeping in her father's arms

"In terms of acting, I feel like my sister is better than me."

"Nope it's you I want. In exchange for your performance I'm giving Ai a part. In the industry, we call that bartering. It's fundamental, so remember it well, you'll need it."

Hitting Aqua in the head with his script he turned away before walking away to make sure everything was set for filming.

"He sure had taken a liking to you, huh, Aqua?"

"Yeah…"

Ruby was in a room with Aqua, who was preparing for his role, dressing himself up as Ruby was crying on the ground.

"Mama! Mama! I wanna go back to Mama! Why isn't Mama here!?"

"Because she doesn't film the same days I do…"

Aqua replied as Ruby began to kick and continued to scream. 

"I wanna go home and snuggle up to her! I want Mama to hold me to her breasts and pamper me!"

Aqua just looked at his Sister. (Y/n) walked into the room and picked Ruby up, she stopped crying and looked at her father, who was smiling at her.

"We'll be back before you know it. I'll see what we can do about a movie night tonight, okay?"

Ruby stopped crying but sniffled as she calmed down and slowly smiled at her dad.

"Oka-"

A slam was heard. A small girl with crimson red hair had made the noise catching all of their attention, turning to her.
