Chapter: Twenty-Eight: Concert Fever

Ai silently drank her hot chocolate as Ruby sat with her mom, Miyako had gone to bed, but Ruby was unable to sleep as she was worried about her mom. She had calmed down a lot but she was still a bit on edge.

"Mom… Are you sure you're okay?"

"Ruby I'm fine… It's just…"

Ai couldn't finish as she seemed to be down. Ruby, noticing this, wrapped her arms around her mother's neck from behind. The pair were silent as they both were trying to calm down.

Ai's eyes looked over her phone, a picture of her and (Y/n) snuggling together a few days Ai had been taken to get her pregnancy checked up… Ai's arms laid lazily at her side, a smile present on her face. (Y/n) on the other hand, had his arms around her stomach, leaning over it in a way that you would have to wake him up to get to her and the twins….

Ai teared up as she looked at her boyfriend's peaceful face. Why was it him? Why did he have to die… Ai's star pupils turned black as she looked down at the picture still. Her mind was blank. She just thought about her lost lover, and the fact she was to blame. Her actions caused her lover to die… Her kissing him, pressuring him to take her out, not unwrapping her legs… making him answer the door. Looking down at the engagement ring in the finger she felt herself hiccup and sob slightly 

"It's all my fault… (Y/n)... I'm sorry… so so sorry…"

Ai felt her body feel heavy as she danced across the studio, preparing for their concert this weekend. It was the biggest concert B-Komachi had done in years. Everything had to be flawless.

Though ever since she had seen Aqua act in Sweet Today she felt off. She couldn't focus completely. She dreamt of her lover’s death more than once in the last week. Nothing would shake it. It was odd. How had seeing her son act send her so far off the deep end?

She finished her routine with the rest of B-Komachi. She closed her eyes and let out a breath. She needed to clear her head. Nino walked at Takamine as the two began giggling. Thirty years old and they both acted like school girls…

Now that Ai was finished, she had half the mind to go home, though as she went to leave, a hand grabbed her wrist, she turned and saw Watanabe.

"Hey Ai. Want to have a girls night out with us?"

Laughter filled the small booth as Nino tried to sing, and was failing poorly. Nino may have been a great Idol, but when she combined that with the fact she was quite drunk, it didn't end so well…

"We are Star… Star… Rain Check now! Come on! Come on! Come on! Come on!"

Another round of laughter filled the booth. Nino stopped her singing and pouted at the three Idols. Clearly ticked off by all the laughter.

"Hey… I said it…"

A hiccup from.the shitfaced woman caused the middle of her sentence to be cut off as she decided it was best to wash down the hiccups with another swig of alcohol.

"I said it correctly!"

"No N-Nino, Its S-Star-T-Rain! Not Star Star R-Rain!"

"Oh…"

Takamine laughed at her long time friend, but she wasn't doing better herself. Stuttering over her words in a mix of laughter and cries of pure joy. Out of the four of them Takamine was unable to hold her liquor very well. Ai being the best, though at this point she had clearly drank the most as she leaned in grinning mischievously at Nino.
