"Clive."

Kanina ko pa tinatawag si Clive pero hindi niya ako pinapakinggan. He keeps on swimming on the pool.

I hissed.

I thought he knew I didn't intend to hurt Alona? I thought he knew it was Rina whom I wanted to hurt yesterday? Why does it seems like he was still angry at me? He kept avoiding me!

"Clive!"

Sa inis ay tumayo ako at inabangan siya sa may gilid. Nang umahon siya malapit sa akin ay sinalubong ko siya ng batok. Ayaw niya akong pansinin? Sige, madali naman akong kausap!

I immediately smirk when I heard his irritated hissed. "What's with the strike?"

Inirapan ko siya. "Napakaarte. Parang babae. Kanina pa kita tinatawag, hindi ka nakikinig."

Napairap lang siya sa akin dahilan para mapanganga ako. Nang akma na sana siyang lalangoy ay agaran kong hinila ang buhok niya dahilan para mapatigil siya.

"What?" inis na aniya.

Napapatimpi ako. Ang putangina! Ako na nga ang lumalapit, oh!

"Why do you keep avoiding me?" Nang mapaiwas siya ng tingin ay napasimangot ako. "I thought you knew it was Rina whom I wanted to hit? It wasn't Alona! It was never her!"

"I know," he coldly says.

Agarang napakunot ang noo ko sa sinabi niya. If he knew, why does he kept on avoiding me?

"Then why are you avoiding me? It's not like you---"

"I was guilty."

"What?" litong tanong ko. "Why are you guilty?"

Umiwas siya ng tingin sa 'kin. "Alona did those on purpose."

"For what?"

He looked at me. I saw how a trace of sadness strikes up on his face. He then averted his gaze.

"To get the attention of Giovanni."

Natigilan ako sa sinabi niya. She did those to get the attention of Giovanni?She likes him?

Napatingin ako kay Clive nang biglaan siyang napangisi.

"What?" panininghal ko, nagtataray.

Napapasagitsit ako nang biglaan siyang napatawa. "Nagseselos ka?"

"What?"

Akmang tatayo na ako nang biglaan niya akong hinila sa pool. I felt like on that moment, my whole world has stopped. I didn't know what to do. Clive was just laughing at me, watching me trying to swim for my life.

I was fucking nervous. I tried to swim but I failed. I saw how Clive's laugh vanished when he saw me struggling.

"Fuck!" He swam towards me, but before he could even help me, someone just dive on the pool and carefully snaked his arms on my waist, guiding me on the edge.

"Clive, the fuck?" pagmumura ni Giovanni nang makaahon kami sa gilid.

Agaran akong napaubo. I think I just drank water. I saw in my peripheral vision how much Clive went pale on what he just did.

"I-I didn't know---"

"You should've asked her if she can swim!"

Inis akong lumingon kay Giovanni. "I know how to swim, okay?! I was just shock!"

He glared at me. Hindi ako nagpahuli at sinamaan din siya ng tingin.

"Sorry, Ali."

Napairap ako. "I told you, I know how to swim. I was just shock, Clive."
