Chapter 21

I forgot to tell Giovanni and Clive that Louis requested them to go to the amusement park. I was occupied by Yuka's presence. It was a mindblowing visit.

She kept on staring at me. Even though our first meet is not that good, I can't say she's bad. There was something behind those every actions.

I was walking inside the Whitehaven Palace when I saw Clive sitting on one of the chairs on the pool. Naglakad ako papunta roon at tumabi sa kanya.

Napapalingon siya sa akin. Nang makitang ako ang lumapit sa kanya ay napapasagitsit siya.

Napapaismid ako. "Clive."

Inis akong lumingon sa gawi ni Clive nang hindi niya ako pinansin. Akmang sasapakin ko na siya nang sumagitsit siya, umiiwas sa akin.

Ano? Nakikinig naman pala siya, hindi siya sumasagot sa akin.

"What?" pagtataray niya.

Napapangiwi lang ako, nakaismid sa kanya. "Punta tayong amusement park."

"Busy ako."

Napanganga ako. "Busy? Sa'n banda sa 'yo ang busy? Nakaupo ka nga lang, e!"

He hissed. "I'm tired. I don't want to wander around today."

"Louis---"

"Ali."

Napapatigil ako nang putulin niya ako. His voice were mixed with different emotions. What is it, I can't tell.

"I don't feel like wandering around. I hope you can get that." Tumayo siya at iniwan ako.

Napapabuntong-hininga lang ako. How am I supposed to make Louis' request come true?

Tumayo ako at walang-ganang naglalakad papasok sa loob. I was walking weakly when I accidentally saw someone who just got in in the house.

Yuka?

I saw how much she got shocked upon seeing me here. Napapanganga siya at napakurap-kurap.

"Ate Yuka!"

Napalingon kami sa tumawag sa kanya. It was Bailey. He was smiling widely at her.

Yuka smiled. "Hey, Bal!"

Bailey immediately frowned. "Ate, it's Bailey. I already told you she's the only one who can call me that."

"Oh," Yuka chuckled. "It's still her?"

Napapaiwas ng tingin si Bailey. Nagpaalam na siya kay Yuka na may gagawin pa raw siya. Talagang binati niya lang ang dalaga.

Nagkatinginan kami ni Yuka. I was the one who averted the gaze first before taking a step passing her. I just took a few steps when she spoke up.

"So you're a worker here, not a lover of Giovanni?" She looked at me, smiling.

I don't know why I get irritated on the idea that I am just a mere worker here. Is it because I like him? Fuck! Did it go this far?

Hindi ko siya pinansin at nilampasan lang. Nang may maalala ay napapatigil ako.

I hissed. I don't want to talk to her but I need her help. I can't convince Clive to go to the amusement park.

"Yuka," mahinang pagtawag ko.

Napapatigil siya sa paglalakad at nakangising lumilingon sa akin. "Oh, we're friends?"

"What?" nagsasalubong ang kilay ko.

"You're calling me by my name. You're also casual to me. Are we friends?"

Napapatiim-bagang ako.

He chuckled, as if she's finding it interesting to see my reactions. "I'm Gabrielle Yuka Casinillo. You can call me Yuka like what my close friends call me."
