"Greta! Can you please come?" Catherine shouted from the bedroom.
Greta, who was in the bathroom putting on her make-up, rolled her eyes "What the hell do you want?"
"Can you please come and help me with the dress?"
Greta quickly finished her makeup and walked into the room. She pushed her sister's hair away from her back and zipped up her dress. Just as she finished, she looked out the window and gasped "Ryan's here." she turned to her sister "How do I look?"
Catherine looked at her older sister closely. She had chosen a turquoise strapless dress, gold earrings and also turquoise heels. She had straightened her hair and wore it down. Catherine smiled sweetly "You look beautiful. You're going to take his breath away."
"Greta, come down! Someone's come for you!" they heard their father's voice from downstairs.
"I'll be right down!" shouted Greta. She hugged her sister tightly. "See you in a little while!"
"Sure, now run!" she said laughing as her sister ran down the stairs at full speed. Once alone, she headed to the bathroom to put on her makeup.

Fifteen minutes passed. Catherine was now fully ready. She was sitting on her bed, nervously waiting for her boyfriend. Three times, she went to the mirror to check that her hair and makeup were okay. Just as she was about to do it a fourth time, she heard her father's voice:
"Catherine, come down!"
Catherine felt her heart race even faster. She took a deep breath as she started going down the stairs. She carefully descended them, as she was afraid of tripping and falling.
Meanwhile, Kevin was waiting for her on the first floor. He was nervous. Partly because that was prom night, and also because he was looking forward to seeing his girlfriend. Feeling his father-in-law's gaze on the back of his neck didn't help either. While he was absorbed in all these thoughts, Catherine appeared on the stairs. Kevin's jaw dropped when he saw her. She looked beautiful. She was already beautiful, but that night she was even more so. She was wearing a navy blue dress with a V-neckline, ankle-length. She was wearing heels the same color as the dress. As for her hairstyle, she wore a French braid, which she had tied with a blue ribbon. She wore makeup, but not too much.
Catherine couldn't help but smile at seeing him so surprised. She finished descending the stairs and approached him. She wrapped her arms around his waist and gave him a small kiss on the lips. "You look so handsome" she whispered against his lips. He was wearing a black tuxedo that suited him really nicely, black shoes and his black hair perfectly combed.
"Yes, I might. But I sure don't look half as good as you do. Because you look great." He whispered to her with a smile, making her blush. Suddenly, he pulled something out of his pant's back pocket. It was a transparent box, and inside was a bouquet of white lilies. Kevin knew that was her favorite flower. She reached out and Kevin tied the bouquet to her wrist. "I love it. Thank you so much" He just smiled and gave her a kiss on the corner of her lip.
After having a couple of photos taken, they both walked out the door and headed for the high school. Fifteen minutes later, they walked through the gym door. It was filled with banners, decorations, lights.... Really beautiful. Kevin offered Catherine his arm. She put hers around his and they walked into the gym. Catherine soon spotted Greta, who was talking to a tall, blonde-haired, blue-eyed boy (who must have been Ryan) while holding a cup of punch. Greta also spotted her sister and quickly approached her, followed by Ryan.
