"Those girls at the party, they were nice, weren't they?" asked Sophie as she picked up her coffee cup.
Kevin, who was also drinking coffee, looked at his girlfriend "Yes, they were."
"The redhead with the brown eyes seemed nice, and the brunette didn't talk, but she seemed kind too." she slowly walked over to Kevin and wrapped her arms around his neck "But the one that caught my attention the most was the other redhead...Catherine, I think that was her name...you know why?"
Kevin wrapped his arms around her waist "No, why?" he replied, wondering where she was going with all that.
"Because of the way he looked at you. When she saw you, she kind of froze. Her eyes were shinning... But you know what was the most interesting thing of all?" Sophie took a lock of Kevin's hair and tucked it behind his ear. This time Kevin didn't respond "That you were looking at her the same way."
"Soph..." started to say Kevin, but Sophie interrupted him.
"I'm just going to ask you one question, and please be honest: Is Catherine that girl that you started dating in high school, that you were with for many, many years and that you were heartbroken over when I met you?" Sophie stared into Kevin's green eyes.
"Yes, that's her." finally replied Kevin.
Sophie smiled and caressed Kevin's face "Okay, I just wanted to know...." She said to then kiss her boyfriend's lips "I love you, you know?"
"And I love you too." whispered Kevin against Sophie's lips.

Catherine was on the film set, as usual. The production of the film had been running behind schedule, and they had very little time to finish it. Therefore, they had decided to shoot on weekends as well, including Sundays. So there she was, on a Sunday morning at nine o'clock, serving herself a coffee in the catering room.
At that moment she saw Leighanne, who was taking an apple from a bowl of fruit, and approached her. "Hey, Leighanne."
The blonde looked at her and smiled "Hi, how are you?"
"Fine. Dead asleep, but fine..." Catherine also smiled "Hey, I'm really sorry I left the party unannounced, but I started feeling sick and..."
Leighanne shook her head and rested her hand on Catherine's shoulder "Don't worry, it's okay. Are you feeling better now?"
"Yes, thank you very much." replied Catherine before she started to walk away.
"Hey Cath." Catherine turned and approached Leighanne again "I reacted a little weird yesterday when I saw that Brian knew you, forgive me..."
