"Kev, can I talk to you for a moment?" asked Brian placing his hand on his cousin's shoulder.
"Yeah, sure." he got up from the couch where he was sitting and followed his cousin. Brian left the room, so he could talk more privately with Kevin.
The five of them were waiting to be, once again, interviewed. It was already the fifth time so far this week. As Brian had told Leighanne, they were already a little fed up.
"What's up? Are you okay?" asked Kevin leaning against the hallway wall.
"Yeah, everything's fine..." started Brian "Listen, I just wanted to apologize for... how I reacted last night when you mentioned having kids."
"Hey, relax, it's no big deal" Kevin smiled and shrugged "You were surprised, that's it."
"Alright...." Brian muttered.
"There's really nothing wrong with you?" Kevin arched an eyebrow.
"Really... Why do you say that?" asked Brian.
"I just think you are acting weird... Yesterday, when Howie started talking about how magical it is to have kids, I saw how you and Leighanne were looking at each other..." Kevin fell silent for a second and looked at his cousin "Wait.... Leighanne is pregnant?"
Brian shook his head "No, we want to wait until we're married for that..."
"Yeah, I get you. I feel the same way." This time Brian couldn't disguise the expression on his face "See? You're making faces! What's wrong?"
"Nothing!"
"What do you mean, nothing? It has to be something?"
Brian sighed heavily. Did he want to know? Well, he would know "Catherine." Kevin looked at him with confusion "Catherine McNamara. Your ex."
Kevin's facial expression changed completely "What's up with her?"
Brian looked at his cousin "You need to talk to her. Seriously."
Kevin frowned "Why I would..."
