Another week passed and Saturday arrived. Again, Catherine had to go to work. But this time, Olivia had things to do and couldn't take care of Lizzie, so Catherine took her daughter with her to the film studio. Lizzie had always been drawn to her mother's work, so she was looking forward to accompanying her.
Catherine walked onto the set, already dressed and made up as her character, holding Lizzie's hand as she watched in fascination as everything went on around her.
"Lizzie, listen to me for a moment." said Catherine as she crouched down to her daughter's level "Now I have to work, so go over there with Greta, okay????" Lizzie nodded before running over to her aunt.
Ten minutes later, Leighanne went out from the makeup department, fully characterized. When she got to the set, she walked past Greta, who was sitting in one of those black chairs that are in sets. On her lap sat a little red-haired girl with two dolls in her hands. Leighanne was curious and walked over.
"Hey, Leighanne, what's up?" asked Greta as she saw Leighanne approach.
"Pretty good" she noticed the little girl watching her with a smile "Who is this cute little girl?"
Lizzie laughed softly and Greta smiled "This is Lizzie, my niece. Cath's daughter."
"So you're Lizzie...your mother talks about you a lot." said Leighanne crouching down in front of the little girl.
"And who are you?" asked Lizzie looking curiously at the woman in front of her.
"I'm Leighanne. I work with your mother." The little girl held out her hand. Leighanne was amused by this and shook it. As they shook hands, Lizzie noticed the ring Leighanne was wearing.
"Woooww... What a beautiful ring...!"
"Yes, it is" said Leighanne looking at the huge diamond on her finger "My boyfriend gave it to me when he asked me to marry him."
"Ohhhhhh.... that's so pretty."
Leighanne couldn't help but smile. Catherine was right, her daughter was a sweetheart.
Some time passed. Leighanne was sitting in her chair. She had just shot a couple of scenes, and had a 10-minute break. In another chair, a few feet away, was Lizzie, still playing with her dolls. The thing was, the more she looked at the little girl, the more she reminded her of someone. The problem was, she wasn't able to tell who. Until Lizzie noticed the woman watching her and smiled in response. That's when Leighanne realized she already knew who Lizzie looked like. "But it's impossible." she said to herself "Well, maybe it is possible."
She was going to sit still in her chair and think about something else, but curiosity, which was sometimes more powerful than she was, drove her to approach the girl.
"Hello Lizzie, what are you doing?" she asked softly.
