The unexpected hero's

Chapter 4 Mother

Autumn raced down the street as fast as she could, even though her injuries where still painful she kept running. She got to the house, the men weren't there - at least she thought- and Autumn burst through the front door. The house was empty and Hope, Jack and James weren't there and the house was worryingly quiet something was wrong, very very, wrong.

Suddenly a knife was thrust around Autumn's neck. "well well well" said a voice from the darkness. Autumn new the voice instantly but it couldn't be her, it just couldn't she'd been dead for 11 years now. Autumn dreaded the person behind the voice. She didn't want to see her, not like this.

"well darling, did you miss me?" the woman said. The woman stepped out of the darkness.

"you're dead, i lay there and watched you die " Autumn screamed struggling, wanting to punch her. Autumn looked at the woman. She was dead to her, Autumn watched as she died on the road because this woman before her was her mother.

"Did you really or was it all a dream" her mother cackled. Three men stepped out of the dark holding knifes against Jack, Hope and James necks.

"Kneel!" Autumn's mother instructed. The men pushed them to to the floor so they knelt. "kill them" she said happily

"No!" Autumn screamed and struggled. Hope eye's filled with tears. "Wait!" Autumn screamed. "I'll give you the locket and Hope knows where the prince is please don't kill them" Autumn cried

"See, now were getting somewhere" Her mother smirked caressing the side of Hope's fearful face. "give me the locket" Her mother spat at her

"Let me free and I'll get it" Autumn said. Her mother nodded to the guard let Autumn free. Autumn pulled a locket from under her vest and passed it to her mother. "Good girl" her mother said. "Now, Hope is it, wheres the prince" Her mother asked spitefully.

"i'll never tell you" Hope yelled

"She has a map! to his location" Autumn said

"What?"Hope said

"yeah it's upstairs" Autumn said winking at her friend

"yeah" Hope said realising Autumn was planning something

"show us" Autumn's mother said. The solider let go of Autumn and Hope and the walked upstairs when they got to the top of the stairs Autumn nodded to Hope. Autumn held the banister and kicked the guards in the head. They fell down the stairs. Autumn's mother conjured a ball of purple energy then Hope counteracted the magic with a green ball of energy and threw it at Autumn's mother.

Suddenly a massive fight broke out Autumn leapt out the way of Hope's green ball of energy Autumn ran to her's and Hope's room she beckoned Merlin into his basket she grabbed Hope's broom and potion's kit. The she put on her armour on and grabbed her's, Jack's and James's satchels. She also grabbed her yellow dress and stuffed it into her bag. She was about to jump out of the window on the broomstick.

All of a sudden a guard burst into the room and threw his sword at Autumn, he narrowly missed her head, Autumn leapt across the room in pursuit of her sword. The guard threw a knife at Autumn narrowly missing her head again. She grabbed her sword and he threw his sword at her again. Autumn lay there with this guards sword over her face with just her sword separating her and death. Autumn rolled to the side and watched as the floor boards where blown apart by this guard sword. Autumn threw her sword at him and a fierce fight ensued. Swords flying back and forth several times Autumn nearly lost an eye or a limb. This continued until Autumn had a knife throw into her neat plait she was now pinned against the wall Autumn pushed her sword against him and he pushed back with sword, it was cutting into his had he cried out in pain until he gave in and then Autumn stabbed him.

Autumn yelped out in surprise. Autumn had never killed anyone before on the battlefield she would fight people and then capture them. Autumn refused to kill. She breathed heavily but forgot about it knowing now wasn't the time to deal with this. Autumn ran downstairs to see that Jack, James and Hope where still fighting. Autumn couldn't fight her own mother so Autumn fought the guards. Another fight broke out and swords flew in all directions but defeating the guards was much quicker with three people.

Autumn couldn't fight her own mother "Run!" Autumn said the four of them ran outside and into the street. Autumn gave everyone there things. Jack and James mounted there horses while Hope got on the broom with merlin on the back. Autumn waited beside her horse, she grabbed  a position out of Hopes stock called temporary fire and threw it on the house. The house was light instantly

"How long does it last!" Autumn yelled

"A week if uncontrolled"
"Great!"
"We have to go to Brise " Said Hope

"Why Brise" asked Autumn

"Because that-that's where the prince is" Hope whispered

"But - but so is Lara" Autumn said meekly

"I know" said Hope with a smile in her voice. Hope flew off towards the front of the group while Autumn hung reluctantly towards the back.
