Daniel looked back to the three others who were watching them
"sorry um who are you?" Daniel asked having realised they were there
"Autumn" Autumn said walking up to him
"come in, Cordelia get us some tea would you?" he asked. Daniel lead them inside Hope and him sat on a small sofa, Jack and James also sat on a sofa while Autumn sat alone in a chair. Hope and Daniel snuggled on a chair with Hope resting her head on Daniels head. Autumn had never seen her friend like this she was happy for her but was jealous of her, almost wishing Lara was here kissing her but quickly remembering the pain and hurt she'd been through.
"how did you meet then?" asked Autumn in an attempt to make small talk
"we met after you left, i met him in the tavern one night " Hope said
"and how did Hope feel when she found out your the prince" Autumn asked bluntly
"i was a bit shocked obviously but i think once i learned and excepted it i think that made us stronger really" Hope said
"oh cute-" Autumn said before she was interrupted
"Autumn, let's cut the crap, what do you need from me?" Daniel said bluntly
"i want raise an army, take down Malus" Autumn said
"ha, not a chance" Daniel mocked "you four take down an army with dragons and night walkers not a chance at all"
"that's why were hear we want your army" Autumn explained. Daniel spat his tea back into his mug
"what army?" Daniel laughed
"the army you've been raising, you know to take him down" Autumn said confused
"that's a folklore, told amongst those who have lost all hope, it's not true" Daniel said almost as if he was speaking down to Autumn.
Autumn sat there shocked she had held out so much hope on this dream of an army so powerful they could take down Lord Malus.
"Sir guest for you" Cordelia said poking her head round the door
"who is it" Daniel asked
"Lara Sir" Cordelia said. Autumn was sipping her tea and nearly choked, she wasn't up for seeing Lara she was already in shock and wasn't in the mood to fight an argument on two fronts.
"I'm going to go" Autumn said
"what?" Daniel said
"just not today, i don't want to see her today" Autumn said
"they have a history" said Hope
"of hickeys" Jack interjected laughing
"i see" Daniel smirked
"oh for godness sake Daniel do you want this money or not" Lara said bursting into the room with her hood down in a brown dress.
"oh, hi" Lara said noticing Hope, Jack, James and Autumn sitting there
"take a seat, the tea's still hot" said Daniel
Lara looked around but all the seats were full.
"oh " said Hope realising the same thing "i'll-" Hope said before Lara sat on Autumn's lap
"this seats good" Lara said trying to annoy Autumn
"not a seat" Autumn said back at Lara in the same patronising way
"Used to be"
"Shut up" Autumn said gritting her teeth before looking away as it Lara weren't even there.
"right, well we should go put our things upstairs" said Hope in an attempt to break the awkward silence
"yeah we should" Autumn said "move". Lara moved knowing a full argument would break out if she didn't.
"come on i'll show you around" Hope said leaping up. She lead Autumn, Jack and James up a large staircase while they carried there things.
"that is the library" Hope said pointing to an oak door, the door was locked but what lay behind it intrigued Autumn. Hope lead them down an awkwardly shaped hallway. They had the turn a few corners and along the way paintings and tapestries were strung along the walls. Hope showed Jack and James two rooms that had doors at the end of this weirdly shaped hallway. They threw their bags on the bed and did that jump thing that everyone seems to do.
Hope and Autumn left them to it as they past the staircase Lara walked up the stairs. "it would seem i'm staying here as well" Lara said
"right okay well your room is here" Hope said pointing to room
"who's room?" Autumn and Lara asked in unison
"both it's a room with double beds" Hope said trying not to make it weird.
"Is there no other rooms, like at all?"
"No, sorry Autumn the left wings being decorated, the north wing is Daniels quarters, and the rest of the wings don't have bedrooms, sorry"
"I'll go back to the tavern"
"Do you want to be found" Lara said
"No, you know what even better, you go to the tavern"
"No, I won't"
"You left before I'm sure you can manage it again"
This was when both girls became petty, Autumn grabbed her bags and opened the door diving for the bed Lara did the same. Lara of course one she was always the better runner. Autumn in protest shoved her off the bed she was the stronger of the two, Lara fell of the bed and Autumn declared herself triumphant. Hope shut the door.
Both girls sat in an awkward silence before Lara dived onto Autumn trying to win back the bed, forgetting the other ones existence. Lara's rugby tackle knocked Autumn off of the bed, in retaliation Autumn grabbed Lara's legs and dragged her off the bed, Lara pinned Autumn onto the floor, Autumn dived past her and put her bags on the bed.
"I win" Autumn breathed heavily
"This time" Lara said bitterly
