Chapter 15 goodbge

Lara was out of sight now, Autumn walked back into the loud hall filled with people gossiping, drinking and holding hands. Autumn grabbed
a glass of fine wine off a tray held by a waiter, she chugged it down like the true warrior she was. Many older or posh people looked at Autumn disapprovingly. Autumn saw Aggie and stood next to her. Aggie was sipping the fine wine in a polite way. A loud bell dinged and everything fell silent.

Lord Malus, Autumn's mother and other people who were similar looking and gave the same energy ,stood on the platform gazing over people in a patronising manor. Autumn curled her toes.
"ladies and gentlemen what wonderful things we have to celebrate tonight, victory over the resistance and of course my wedding to a the jewel of my eye.. Lara"

Autumn felt her heart drop, Lara was to marry Lord Malus? She wasn't exactly thrilled but nor was she upset. Autumn then felt a strange range, she remembered her friends all dying at his hands how could Lara and him be so heartless. She fell to the floor in shock she couldn't move. People looked round and Lord Malus looked down upon Autumn.

"is that young lady over there okay" he asked looking down at Autumn. Autumn grasped onto her knife with the rage blinding her judgement she was ready to kill everyone in that room if she had to. Her mother recognised Autumn instantly.

"oh my dear i didn't realise you'd come to visit, how does it feel known if your friends are all dead, your lover marrying someone else, oh not to mention your pathetic army has been captured!"

Autumn felt the rage burn hotter than a volcano she felt so angry the kind of angry to feel when you have so much to fight for and injustice is strong your willing to do anything to make it right.

"you bigoted cow, this won't stand not while I live. The resistance is strong if I die you will die with me. Lara you pathetic bitch enjoy your power hungry boyfriend while you can" Autumn said like the great leader she was.

"arrest her" Lord Malus said carelessly

"no!" Lara screamed. Lord Malus looked over to Lara and clicked his fingers guards pulled her back as she screamed and yelled. Autumn felt someone grab her from behind it wasn't a guard though it was Aggie she pulled her backward and she cut one of the ropes holding up the platform with her sword. Autumn was thrust upward while the left rope came downward and the platform tilted left.

Everyone began to start to tilt off the platform. In the confusion Lara broke free and ran for Autumn. Lara jumped off towards Autumn and Aggie.  
Autumn grabbed Lara, the swung towards the platform and Lara pulled her down. Autumn made a reach for the rope.

She felt someone pull her backward from behind. Autumn's dress ripped so it was now at her knees and roughly torn. It was Malus, she pulled out her blade to fight him he hit her with a champagne glass, Autumn fell to the floor but tackled him from the knees he fell backward and began to pull one of the broke shards into the back of Autumns leg. Autumn bit her lip. 

"Aggie cut the other rope!" Autumn screamed toward Aggie who was on a balcony overlooking the platform"

"The whole front side will fall in" Aggie said back panicked

"do it!" Autumn screamed, soon after the whole platform tipped forward and Lord Malus cut the rope with the shard and swung off toward the staircase. He landed, unfortunately unscathed.

Lara was about to fall off and fall to her death. Autumn took held onto the platform as it began to crack and creak, Autumn began to struggle to hang on.  Aggie swung a rope toward Autumn. Autumn tied it round her bleeding leg and swung for Lara catching her moments before she fell. The rope began to cut into Autumns leg and she felt blood slowly drip down, it was excruciatingly painful Autumn new it had cut deep and running wouldn't be an option.

They were inches from the floor Autumn didn't have a clue how to get them out of this but then she remembered

"Aggie cut the rope" Autumn screamed . Aggie cut the rope and they fell to the floor Autumn grabbed Lara they swung to the floor.

"you okay?" Autumn asked Lara concerned more for Lara having the smallest cut than the fact her leg had been cut very deeply

"yeah i'm fine, my god" Lara said looking at Autumn's leg

"it's fine we need to go" Autumn said trying to walk but she screamed. All of sudden Lord Malus stood over the balcony above and his guards came towards them.

"Aggie take Autumn and run" Lara said knowing this was the only way Autumn and Aggie were going to make it out alive

"No! Lara!" Autumn said as Aggie grabbed her and pulled her upward Lara's fingertips being pulled away from her as she flew upward. The guards grabbed Lara and pulled her out of sight, Autumn wanted to let go and save Lara, fight them even if it meant death but knew if she let go now that she was fall to her death. Aggie and Autumn saw the big, stain glass window. Aggie smashed through it, Autumn screamed thinking her death was certain now but the two of them landed in the lake Autumn felt water hit her harshly like a smack in the face.

They were safe now but yet again all hope seemed lost, there army and friends trapped maybe dead, Lara was lost and it seemed like every hope was lost but little did Autumn know Aggie had secrets and friends in unlikely places.
