Ivy
As I woke up, my head throbbed with a painful reminder of the night before. Confusion washed over me as I surveyed my surroundings, realizing I was in my own room. Jason must have brought me back here, I thought to myself.
My gaze fell upon a glass of water and aspirin sitting on my nightstand, accompanied by a note. As I picked up the note and read the message, "You sleep like a baby - S," my heart skipped a beat. S? Who could that be? OH MY GOD! NO!!! Realization hit me like a ton of bricks. Spencer. Spencer dropped me off last night!! The last thing I remember was throwing up in the sink and Spencer entering the restroom at the same time...but what after that? Was Spencer with me all night? Did anything happen between us? Where was Jason?? I faintly recalled him leaving the frat house with a group of guys, assuring me he would be back soon.
Facing Spencer now feels awkward and unsettling, given the uncertainty of what had transpired between us. Yet, I need to clarify things. But for now, I need to get ready for class.
"Hey." Liz waves from a distance.
"Hi." I couldn't help but sound uninterested.
"Eh...you seem off. What's up?''
I debated whether or not to confide in Liz. She and Jason had a history, having dated back in high school. Although Liz sometimes came across as a little bitch, Jason assured me that their relationship was all in the past. Despite my doubts about Liz, I had no choice but to trust Jason's word.
"Crazy hangover," I say instead.
"Ahh...I feel you. Here comes Jason." She says.
I turned my attention towards Jason, and he approached me with a wide smile, wrapping his arms around my waist. "Hey, baby," he plants a kiss on my neck.
"Uh...hi," I reply, my mind still preoccupied with the events of the previous night. I desperately want to ask Jason about his whereabouts, but the fear of him discovering my interaction with Spencer holding me off.
"Did you get home safely last night? I'm sorry I couldn't drop you off. Samuel got into a fight with a bunch of seniors."
"Yeah, I got back safely," I reply, trying to keep my response neutral.
"Who dropped y-
Shit...no. "How's Samuel? Did you get hurt?'' I say.
"He's fine. He took a day off. I'm fine too. A few scratches here and there. Nothing much. So you're not mad at me?''
I laugh nervously "Not at all. Why would I be?"
"Cute talk...I'll see you guys later," Liz says, excusing herself from the conversation.
We bid our goodbyes and now it was time to confront Spencer. As I made my way to class, my legs trembled, and my heart pounded.
There he was, running his hands through his hair, and as our eyes met, he greeted me from a distance, "Hi!"
Summoning all my courage, I walked towards his seat, taking hesitant steps. "Hi. What's up?" I say, trying to sound nonchalant.
Spencer looks at me, a mix of curiosity and playfulness in his eyes. "Super. How are you feeling?"
"Did something happen last night?" I let the question slip out.
"Sure it did." He teases. OH MY GOD!!! This can't be true.
"What happened?" I ask.
"Well for starters you threw up on my Balenciagas."
"Who wears them to a frat?'' I can't help but chuckle.
"You wanna listen or-
"I'm sorry continue."
"Ok so you threw up on my Balenciagas and then you passed out. So I dropped you off to your room."
"Dropped me?''
"I picked you up in my arms and carried you to the car then again when we reached the residence I picked you up and carried you to your room. And you snore a lot." Spencer says, letting out a soft chuckle.
Wait? He picked me up...in his arms? Good lord. I can feel my cheeks radiating mad heat. My mind raced with thoughts, emotions intertwining in a chaotic dance.
"That's it right?" I ask.
"You wanted more?" he smirks.
"Shut up. I'm just confirming. Nothing else. " I reply in a defensive tone.
"I liked the drunk you. Even though you collapsed like 10 seconds after I walked in. '' He says. "Why are you blushing, Ivy?'' He adds.
"What no way. I never blush.''
