                                                         Ivy

I wake up to 20 missed calls and several texts from Jason apologising for how he acted out last night saying that he wasn't in his right mind. When is he?

With a heavy sigh, I bury my face in the pillow, dreading the thought of attending classes. The gloomy weather compliments my mood. I don't have the energy to confront Jason but this situation-ship that I am in with Spencer is gonna be the death of me if I don't come clean with Jason.

I finally rise from my bed and start getting ready for the day. As I make my way to class, I spot Spencer standing in the hallway, his dark brown tousled hair gleaming in the distance. A smile lights up his face as our eyes meet, and I can't help but feel a surge of warmth in my heart.

Approaching him, I reciprocate his smile. "You're early," he remarks.

"So are you," I reply playfully. "Let's make an exception for today." I add.

Confusion clouds Spencer's expression. "What do you mean?"

"Let's skip class," I suggest. "You'll catch up, Spencer. You're intelligent, and I'll help you if needed." I assure him.

"Ivy, I can't do that. I'm already falling behind."

"Please, Spencer," I implore, extending my hand towards him. "Take a leap of faith with me. Just for today." I add.

Spencer's hand meets mine with a resolute slap. "Fine!" he concedes. "But wait, where are we going?"

"Away from this shit hole." I say.

Spencer chuckles. "Ivy, I'll give you a hundred dollars if you refrain from swearing for the next two hours."
"Okay bet! I won't swear. Don't back out. " I exclaim.

"I won't.'' He says. "Ever." He whispers.

"Did you say anything?" I ask.

"Uh what? Me? Nope."

Spencer's hand in mine, I lead the way to the nearest bus stop. In this moment, I can't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for having him by my side. His presence alone has the power to make me forgot about all the ills and wrongs in my life. I feel free...I feel serene...I feel at ease.

"What are we doing at a bus stop?'' Spencer asks.

"Hop in.''

"You make it seem like I'm being kidnapped. But hey, why not?" He playfully teases, stepping onto the bus with me close behind.

The bus we boarded was packed, leaving us with no choice but to squeeze our way through the crowd to find a somewhat comfortable spot to stand. As the bus accelerated, a sudden jolt propelled me forward, and in that split second, I felt Spencer's gentle hand firmly wrap around my bare waist, pulling me closer to him. The sensation of his warm breath caressing the nape of my neck sent waves of anticipation through my body, causing my stomach to flutter. Unable to resist the magnetic pull between us, I turned around to meet his gaze, locking eyes with him. We both knew what was about to happen next...
