                                                          Ivy

"Ivy!" Samuel calls out to me from a distance as I walk towards them.

"Hey, babe," Jason adds, wrapping his arms around my shoulders and pulling me closer to him. "I'm so sorry for yesterday...I was so stoned.'' He whispers in my ear and I nod in response.

"What's the plan for today?" Samuel looks at us and asks.

"What do you mean?" I reply.

"Dude, today is Friday!" Samuel exclaims, throwing his hands in the air.

"Oh yeah," We have a frat party every Friday. Same old stuff—drinking and throwing up. Going to frat parties used to be fun initially but now it's just meh. I just force myself to go there so I can fit in among Jason, Liz and Samuel.

"So, you in?" Liz waves her hand in front of my face, bringing me back to reality.

"Yeah, sure. Sure," I instantly reply.

"Okay then," Liz says, grabbing Samuel's bag and pulling him along with her.

Jason removes his hand from my shoulder and turns his face towards me, wrapping his hands around my waist.

"Let's go out tomorrow. It's been a while since we hung out alone," he suggests.

"Uh... I need to... um... sure, why not? Let's go out tomorrow," I respond, feeling uneasy. How am I going to end this? I look away and notice Spencer coming our way. Oh no.

"Ivy," Jason says, placing his hands on my cheeks and leaning in closer. THIS IS NOT HAPPENING. Spencer has already noticed me and is watching us intently.

I quickly turn my face the other way as Jason comes close to me.

"What's the matter?" Jason asks, concerned.

I start rubbing my hand over my eyes. "Ouch, there's something in my eyes."

"What is it?'' He turns my face towards him and I notice that Spencer is already gone.

"It's fine now,'' I claim. Jason holds my face in the palm of his hands and kisses my cheek. "See you tonight,'' Jason says.

I nod, and Jason and I part ways. I head towards my class and notice that Spencer is not there. I take my phone out of my pocket, intending to text him, but I hesitate. Things are pretty complicated right now. Should I go look for him? Before I can make a decision, the professor enters the room, and I quickly put my phone away.

The professor goes on and on about some essay we're supposed to write, and before I know it, the bell rings. I make my way to the library, hoping that Spencer would be there. I enter the library and find him standing at the counter, renting a book for himself.

"Hey... Why didn't you come to class today?" I rush towards him, eager to know the reason.

"I wasn't feeling well," he states simply.

"What happened?" I ask curiously.

"Nothing serious. I was just feeling dizzy," he explains.

"How are you feeling now?"

"Better, I guess," he replies, a faint smile appearing on his face.

"Wanna hang out during lunch?" I block his way as he tries to make a quick exit from the library.

"I have-"

"Please. Please," I interrupt, holding onto his arm and trying to convince him.

"Fine," he finally relents, giving in to my persistence.

I can't help but give him a big smile, and he smiles back at me.
