I lie down on my bed, my hands resting on my stomach. I pick up my phone from the nightstand to take a look at it. "Are you awake?'' Spencer's text pops up on my screen.
"Yeah,'' I reply.
"Why are you up so late?" Oh, Jason was waiting for me outside my room while I was with you and in order to prevent suspicion, I had to lie to him...again. It's not like I haven't done that before but still, you gotta be careful right?
I am sure about one thing...I want to end things with Jason...I just don't know how. I can't just approach him out of nowhere and tell him I want to end things. Taking a moment to think, I respond to Spencer's text, "I was finishing up some assignments."
"All right... don't be up for too long. I'll see you tomorrow.'' He replies.
Whenever I used to tell Jason that I have assignments to complete, he used to tell me that college is stupid and assignments are bullshit. I was head over heels when I got an internship 4 months ago and when I told Jason about it, he showed no excitement instead he told me that it was a waste of time. Why am I stating these things? I don't know!
I bury my face in the pillow and shake my head to get rid of all the thoughts blocking my head.
