Tonight

As the stars sprinkle the sky
The tears fill my eyes
As I think back to the days
Where you and I would lie awake
Our soft whispers and boisterous laughs
Something I now miss so bad

We would talk about our futures
And put each other in it

How fast things can change in just a minute

Tonight I think about our past
Remembering how we prayed we would last
But as time went on
That thought is now long gone

Wasn't it suppose to be me and you in the long run?

I miss the cheeky smiles
Not how we became so vile
I miss the old you
The person I once knew...
Before we were through

I now reminisce on the times
When we were fine
And we had those laughs...
We had those memories to make...
When the possibility of you in my future
Didn't seem so fake

So tonight I stay up late
Thinking of the memories we didn't make
while my heart slowly begins to break
