Writing about you has become my favorite hobby
The words on the sheet scream your name
As I write them with numb fingers
The memories dance across the blue lines
Hidden in metaphors and similes
The reader reads my poems
But reads them as their own
But these are ours
To me at least
Because every time I go back to proofread
The tiny words fill my brain
And cause me to drown
Drown in the thought of you
From the nights I sobbed wishing it would reach your ears
And hoping you would come to wipe my tears
To the nights I felt a silent ache
The ache that has become somewhat normal
Because now I don't have you anymore
I lost you
And I can only now find you in the words
The words in poetry
