"Okay, I'll cut the carrot," I say.

"Yeah, I don't know how that's possible; those carrots are really, really big, so you just need one of those." I nod.

"Oh my god, let me cut it."

"No, no, I'm independent," I say.

"Aurora, cut the carrots into small pieces; it's easier to cut them in half then.

"Don't be smartasses with me"

"Okay, okay, just put the damn knife down; you're scaring me."

I then started to cut the beets. I looked at my hands, and they were so red.

"Samuel Samuel," I call for him; he looks at me, and I show him my hands.

"I got caught Red-handed," I joke as I look at my red hands and start to laugh.

Samuel just shook his head in disappointment.

"Cut onions in lines." I do what he says, and I'm doing it pretty well.

"Look, it's uneven," he says, looking at me, and his eyes soften.

"I'm sorry, did I upset you? Please don't cry, okay? You're doing great." He starts to clamp me down.

What does he mean by don't cry?

I rubbed my hand in my cheek, and I found tears just being there... Yeah

"It's not my fault; onions burned my eyes," I said as I started to laugh.

A few hours later, dinner was served. Oh, and I have seven bandages on each of my fingers.

"Did you cook this?" Diego asks, and I nod.

"I helped him." I smile proudly.

"Are you sure she didn't put poison in it?" Lee joked, or at least I hope he did.

We started to eat, and Lee was strangely glaring at me the whole dinner.

Wait, what if he actually thinks that I poisoned the food and he's just checking up on me after eating the food with them?

I looked at him; he was already looking at me.
