Everett's P.O.V
i left her alone after she fall asleep in my arms, i made a promise to her to take her somewhere safe, although i bought this place for her to stay to recover, i don't think she feels safe here
I'm gonna fix that in not time, it's only gonna be me and her there no one else.
"how did it go" Connor asks
"it'll be fine, she needs some time" i answer trying to assure him and myself that everything will be okay, that time will heal everything but is it true? will it?
"can i go in" Connor asks
"give her a little time, she wasn't feeling herself" i tell him and he nods
"of course she isn't, how can she feel like herself after what happened to her" Diego spoke angrily "we should have protected her and look where is she now" he breathes heavily
i have known Diego the longest, and i know exactly what he's feeling right now, he's feeling the same thing he did few years back when his little sister passed, that's the reason he doesn't let anyone close to him
"you are right" i begin "we should have, it's no ones fault but mine, i promised her a safe place and i broke my promise to her, but we can't undo what happened, that's why i decided to move her to another place"
"we're moving" Connor asks
"no, just me and her" i I clarify
"wait what about our plan with Greg" Connor asks
"I'll come from time to time, I'll work from home, i don't know what happened but she doesn't like this place" i inform him
"okay" he nods "i was just think-"
"did you hear that" Diego cut Connor off
"what" Connor asks
"i heard something fall, was it just me" he questions, we all look at him confused not understanding what he's talking about
"anyway, i was just sayin-" he was cut off one more time
"no i think i heard it correctly" he then rushed where he heard the noise from and we follow him behind
we go inside of the Cordelia's room, she's no where to be seen, maybe she's in the bathroom?
but before i could say anything i see Diego barging in the bathroom "Everett don't come in" he says with a horrified voice
i ignore him and go in anyway and nothing could ever prepare me from what i was about to see
i ran to where Cordelia covered in blood was laying, her clothes are all bloody, her beautiful face is pale
i see piece of glass on the ground near her hand
"Please, my love, don't leave. Stay with me... Stay by my side... You have to stay..." i beg as i hug her lifeless body as i feel my heart rip apart from pain and the emotions that I'm experiencing first time in my life
"you can't leave me please, Cordelia open your pretty eyes form me" i burry my face in her neck and once i pick it up i see it again, red
It's everywhere—on her hands, her neck, her pajamas, the floor, me.
