a random one shot in which kazuha works at the coffee shop y/n frequents (yes this is because of that leniverse ep)

you were handed an excruciating amount of work this week at college, you were no stranger to this though, it was nearing finals week and the shit ton of work was to be expected

Whenever you had work like this, you'd head to the nice little coffee shop near your house to get your work done, their coffee was good and you'd be lying if you said you didn't also go there because of the cute barista that worked there.

You'd caught her name a while ago, nakamura kazuha, she was a tall foreigner, most likely Japanese, and she was so deviously charming that she was what actually brought you to the café every single day, and much to your own liking, she seemed fond of you.

As you entered the coffee shop, you saw the girl hard at work, her brows furrowed as she milled some grains, the other girl that worked there, hong eunchae, took your order, which made you quite upset, wanting to get your daily dose of kazuha, nonetheless, eunchae was really cool and you liked her presence "your usual?" She asked with a bright smile and you nodded, "yeah, thanks eunchae nim, I'll be where I always am" you smiled and she nodded wordlessly

"Kazuha, could you please help me do y/n's usual? I need to do something else" eunchae said hurriedly as she handed the older a cup for her to start making your order "she's here?" Kazuha asked, propping herself up to look around for you "yeah, now get to work" the younger ran off god knows where as a small smile lingered on kazuha's face, happy to see who would arguably be her favorite customer

Kazuha shuffled through the café, down to where your usual table was, and she could see you hard at work, with a frown on your face, 'maybe I could cheer her up...?' kazuha thought to herself and moved a tad bit quicker towards you

"Y/n's usual, rightfully served!" She exclaimed, and you got startled at the sudden loud voice next to you as she placed your drink besides your laptop, and you couldn't help but smile cheekily at her as she sat across from you "thanks, kazuha ssi, I was really needing this" you said as you took a sip from your drink and she watched you with her chin resting on the palm of her right hand with such an adoring smile

"I guess my timing is just perfect" she said, her cute Japanese accent making you smile even more, if that was even possible "I can also see you struggling.. Is there anything bothering you?" The girl asked boldly, as she expectantly looked at you "not really, it's just school's dragging me by my ass right now" you chuckled trying to hide the fucking insane mental pain that the assignment was causing you

"Is it biochem again? I could take a few and help you, you know?" She said as she shot you a beautiful smile, you nodded "yeah it's biochem, but you really don't need to do that, I don't want to disturb your working hours" you said, bowing politely and giving her a sympathetic smile "no no, I can't stand seeing you struggle so much" she said and moved besides you, only to stand up and scream to her co-workers "I'm taking 10!"

Your stomach erupted with butterflies, a fuzzy feeling taking over your body, you were so flustered you looked like a half assed tomato, "thanks kazuha, you really didn't have to" you said and she smiled yet again, and now you could see her eye smile up close, she was so fucking deliciously gorgeous and you swore you couldn't take this shit anymore "it's okay, I'm always glad to help you" she said, subtly scooting closer to you so that your shoulders were touching

You could feel yourself go red at the action, "So, tell me what exactly troubles you" she said, looking as determined as ever to help you understand your assignment as if her life depended on it.

After some minutes passed, you'd gotten the hang of all the formulas and with what and how much to use them with, yes, this was barely half of your work, but it came to you like a blessing (mostly because it was kazuha helping you obviously) given that you'd skipped that certain class to go see Beyoncé in concert "thank you soso much, kazuha, I can't even thank you enough!" You said as you blushed and looked down, noticing the grin on her face

"It's okay y/n, I was more than happy to help" she got up and fixed her uniform, and you ready couldn't help but stare, the way her slim fingers ran through her jeans and- bro, wtf. you stopped yourself from literally just thinking because this is just how intoxicatingly charming this woman is, it was making you sick to your stomach

"Thanks, I'll make sure to pass that test just for you then" you said with a light laugh and you swore you saw her coworker yunjin wiggling her eyebrows as she walked past you two, you organized your stuff and she stood there, like a puppy waiting for you to get everything ready. You laughed at the way she just waited for you, but deep inside, it was making your heart flutter.

"You don't need to wait for me" you said warmly as you placed a hand on her shoulder, to which she shuddered, and you quickly removed your hand, suddenly feeling as if she'd gotten uncomfortable, and she could notice that "n-no, I'm sorry, it just... it felt nice" she cracked a small smile and looked down "but I was meaning to ask you something, she continued, you nodded, motioning for her to talk

"Well, I just couldn't help but wonder if you'd like to maybe, just maybe, go to dinner with me someday?" She asked sheepishly, unable to look at you in the eye, fearing any unpleasant reaction, but she was met with something a trillion times better, a bright smile decorated your face and you nodded excitedly

"I'd love to go out to dinner with you, princess" you said, now feeling all that confident, you could notice her squirm at the nickname, "well, why don't you give me your phone number, and then we can settle the date and that" she said as she tapped in her number into your phone, saving it as 'zuha💞💞' and you smiled, she escorted you out and waved goodbye as you got into your car and drove away

She couldn't wait until she was able to text you, but for now, eunchae was screaming at her to get back to work.
