You were sure Huh Yunjin was the devil's spawn herself, and you had to deal with her on a daily basis

You worked at the same magazine and her desk was right beside yours, it had been about 2 years ever since she joined the firm and came only to rain on your day

You used to be the best editor around, until the cunt herself came and ruined that for you, the firm director had come to grow very fond of her, and you were sure that he felt attracted to her

Because yes, she might be your enemy but she's fine as fuck and she knows it, which just adds to her being a full on bitch

The one who started all the beef was you actually, she first came in with hopes to her and you becoming friends, but you just raged when you found out how fond the boss was of her

A friend of yours from the office had actually told you that Yunjin seemed lowkey into you when she first came in, and you wouldn't lie, you felt drawn to her too, but you'd obviously never say that

So after a few days of you blatantly ignoring her, or just responding nastily to any question she'd ask, she decided to give you the same treatment all along

And today was just so the first day of the week and you'd had a restless night looking over some templates so you weren't all that thrilled to go into that office full of asshats

"Good morning y/n" the front desk girl greeted you, and smiled "morning" you smiled back and walked into your office

It was a spacious office but you shared it with yunjin, so your desk was close to hers, and she was already there

You put your bag in your drawer and sat down, only giving her a look of acknowledgment

"Well hello" yunjin said as you headed to serve yourself some coffee "good morning" you mumbled as you walked out of sight

"Moron" yunjin said loud enough for you to hear and you just huffed, you were sure that you really disliked her, she was a spoiled brat and that got in the way of success for you

"Everyone, attention please" your boss said through the intercom "to celebrate a year full of success and wonderful signings for us" he said and looked at yunjin, you could only roll your eyes

"My wife and I will be hosting the annual year end dinner, but, we wanted to make a twist this year. We'd like you to choose someone from the office as your plus one. So good luck and see you Saturday!"

You were crumbling inside, more so because the office sure did have attractive people but they were all either taken or just plain out assholes

A lot of part time models, after all, you were in New York city's business district and you were in a fashion magazine, so it was full of hotties

You were planning to ask a girl you'd talked to before in hopes of getting together, but you just didn't seem to click, she liked you and you didn't have a date so whatever

So you headed to her desk, head high and all giddy "Vittoria!! Hi, have a few?" You asked her and she nodded "y/n, what a miracle you've come first" you chuckled "that's what she said😏" you said and she cackled

"God, well, what's up?" She said as she put her hand on your shoulder "well, I was wondering if you'd like to go to the dinner with me?" You said and scratched your nape

Of course she wouldn't have a date right? You prayed she didn't "oh y/n, if only you'd had asked earlier, josh asked me like 5 minutes ago and I said yes!" She looked at you with an apologetic smile

"I just didn't think you'd ask, if I knew I definitely would've gone with you. Should I cancel with Josh?" She asked and you shook your head desperately

You knew Josh had been trying to pull her for a while, so you just didn't want to spoil it for him

"No god no, I'm okay" you huffed "but do you happen to know anyone free?" She frowned and did a slight shake of the head

"I mean, yeah, but I doubt you'll want to go with her" and it was obvious who she was talking about, and you rolled your eyes

"It's yunjin isn't it?" And she nodded "well, thanks vic, see ya Saturday"

You walked back to your desk not knowing what exactly you were going to do about the whole plus one situation

You sure refused to go alone, but you refused even more to go with yunjin

You got to your desk and there she was in all her glory, working on the desktop on some headers, you contemplated talking to her or not, but in the end, life was boring and you were willing to do shit for the plot

"Do you have someone for Saturday?" You asked and she raised an eyebrow "uhh, why is that your business?" She said, giving you a weird look

You face palmed "Because, I don't and I could use a date" you mumbled that last part, still not believing you were doing this 'it's for the plot'
