A few weeks ago, your close friend had mentioned that she'd like to set you up with a friend sometime

You weren't against it, surely you were very excited, you loved women and would never turn down a date with any, so you called your friend and told her you wanted to go through with the plan.

You were a bit nervous though, so you asked your friend to come along with her sister, so you know, it wouldn't be as awkward.
You started to prepare your shit, your charm and all that, the "date" was in a week and you needed some tuning to your appeal.

The day had come and you were getting ready, putting makeup on and picking an outfit, it was cold outside so you went for a cute top, a puffer jacket and comfortable trousers

"Okay, I think I'm ready" you mumbled to yourself and called your friend

"Yunjin, I'm ready, I'll be leaving right now" you said as you grabbed your keys and jogged to your car "fucking finally, you better hurry up, you're not giving a good impression homegirl" you grunted and hung up, quickly closing your door and hurried to Atera, a nice restaurant close to your apartment (it's a lie that you'll be driving in nyc)

You opened the door and looked for yunjin, you spotted her and Rachel, and then you noticed her, god was she gorgeous

You walked over to the table full of confidence to make up for the lost time, you were conflicted on who to greet first, and you thought it was right to greet your future wife first,

She got up and waved at you, "hiii, I'm kazuha"
'kazuha' resonated in your mind, damn, this might as well just be your future wife!

"Nice to meet you, I'm y/n." I smiled and looked at her "and dare I say, you're gorgeous, I really think so" She smiled and said a very shy thank you

Yunjin and Rachel were making flirty faces when you said this, you just rolled your eyes and greeted them. "You didn't tell me your friend was so fine" you whispered into your friend's ear

Everyone ordered their food and you held a conversation with Kazuha about the gym and movies. See, you're not usually this confident and at ease when meeting someone, but since you saw her you just knew you couldn't afford to lose this chance

"So, what did you order?" You asked her as you took a sip of your drink, "I ordered a salad, I don't remember the name though, it's kinda weird" she chuckled and you returned it "what about you?"

"I ordered a New York steak, I'm feeling very in need of a good cut right now" she nodded and you felt her leg slightly hit yours

"God I'm sorry, just trying to get comfortable" she said as a bright pink covered her cheeks, you mumbled an it's okay

Well, you couldn't lie, the slightest touch from her would make you feel funny, you really really wanted to make a move on her because she was just so attractive to you

You excused yourself to the bathroom for a second, when a text from yunjin lit your phone up 'she wants you to do something bro, like right now, we'll leave you alone, tell me how it goes😏'

Well, you couldn't hide the huge smile that covered your face, you walked over to the table and paid for both your tabs, "how do you feel about taking a walk through Manhattan right now. Just nowhere in specific, just walk" you offered her your hand to take and you helped her stand up

"I'd love that" she put her jacket on, interlocked her arm with yours and got on your way

"I want you to know, I don't usually do this so early into meeting" she said as she looked at you "I just... I don't know, I liked you" she smiled

"I know, don't worry, I would never think that of you. And I don't either, there's something to you though" you said as you took a turn into Times Square

"It's beautiful here, I'd like to live here someday" she said as she looked up at the countless screens, you scrunched your face "as a born and raised New Yorker, I got you on that, some people complain a lot about like the prices and streets, but it really depends on how you want to take it, I personally love living here, being able to wake up at midnight and just take a walk through broadway because you feel like it, it's very nice, just ignore the rent and you're good"

The whole time, you could see her through your hindsight, she was just staring at you with heart eyes as you talked, god how you wanted to kiss her, hug her at least

If it wasn't for the drink you'd had earlier, you wouldn't have done it, you feared she would be creeped out and just leave you - but you did it anyway

You stopped in your tracks and pulled her in by the waist, and in a low voice said, "as I said before, I don't do this on the first date...but I really want to" you whispered, and to your liking, she nodded, not needing to say anything about it

And with that, you gently cupped her face and pulled her closer to you. You leaned in and your lips finally savored hers, god were her lips soft against yours

You weren't a big fan of one night stands so you kept composure by not asking her to come over to your place, knowing what that would bring. You didn't want her to think of you as a whore

Below the dim light of a street lamp, there stood the slight silhouette of you and her kissing each other as if you'd never see each other again

You could feel her and yourself getting carried away so you pulled away, and rested your forehead in hers, "that was amazing" she whispered and held your hand followed by an attempt to catch her breath

"Yeah, I enjoyed it" you said and smiled, moving to her side and continued walking "I enjoy you, actually. I'd really like to go out with you again" You said and looked at her in hopes of a good response

She just laughed in response, and your heart fell for a second, but you smiled when she said she'd love to

In a celebration manner, you ran down the street with your arms raised and with a beaming smile, you could hear her laughter from the distance and you watched her come down to where you were standing, the railing in front of the river which allowed to see the whole nyc skyline

You stayed there for a while, just enjoying the silence between the two of you, "when are you leaving New York?" You asked, so you could knew when you could see her

"Not anytime soon, we're on vacation for a month so my friend (yunjin), who's a New Yorker from birth and I decided to spend the whole month here" she smiled, knowing she could spend a lot more time with you

"That's good news, does that mean I can take you on more dates?" You asked, and she nodded, she put her head on your shoulder "yeah, that's exactly what it means"
