A/N: Sorry that I haven't updated, I've been tired lately and I had no inspiration to write. Also I've been working out in the yard all day, so I'm even more tired out. This is in the past, when NY and NJ first met. I will also likely make this into it's own story. Just because.

New York walked through the streets, looking for someone else to join the original 13s cause of breaking free from the British. Around a couple soldiers was a small boy, with black, slightly long and fluffy hair. He was frail-looking, as if he would snap if you hugged him too hard.

The boy was clearly scared, but stayed by the soldiers. One of them guided him into the horse and buggy, and shot New York a glare. "Jersey doesn't need to be around people like that, Jack. We don't need, or want him, to be influenced by the likes of them." the soldier said when one of the others asked why he guided New Jersey into the horse and buggy.

New York walked patiently past them, looking at the guards with slight amusement. He watched as New Jersey looked through the window-shaped hole of the buggy. New York waved politely, and slightly bowed. Jersey looked at him with child-like curiosity, and New York was told off by the soldiers for trying to manipulate the teen.

York shrugged and walked away, as Jersey asked who he was. The soldier responded with "A very very bad man. Never associate with him." New Jersey nodded and looked over to New York, still curious.
