States Oneshots (Jersey-centric)

New York was sick, so that meant that New Jersey was reading a recipe for vegetable soup

Ingredient: Broth of any kind, 2 vegetables or more, olive oil, butter, or vegetable oil, things like onion, spring onion, garlic, or leeks. Pot or dutch oven, chefs knife
-2 table spoons of vegetable oil, butter, or olive oil (6 teaspoons)
-Add vegetables, 2 or more (I used cucumber and potatoes)
-Chop them up, try to make them even
-Put the oil or butter into the pot or dutch oven
-After the oil or butter simmers, chop up the aromatics into small pieces and put them into the pot, let them brown
-While doing that, chop up the vegetables
-Pour vegetables into the pot, add seasonings
-Pour 4-6 cups of broth into it, let it cook for 30 minutes
-Pureé if desired
(My home-made vegetable soup recipe FYI, I just made it, that's what gave me the inspiration to make this)

New Jersey sighed, looking at the recipe. He didn't even know if this would work, but it was worth a shot.

He finished everything, now it was just time to get the stubborn state away from work and into resting. Which sounded easy, until you realize who you're dealing with.
