Lizard friend?

New York and New Jersey agreed to go to Georgia, not expecting much. It was hot and humid, unlike the Northeast where it was cold right now. Neither of them could stand it, as it was high 70s° Fahrenheit, 21.1° Celsius.

However, NJ being NJ started exploring around the abandoned church, as it clearly said on a sign "Feel free to look around, just don't go into the church. It's unholy now." pretty soon, NJ found a brown anole.

He tried to catch it, but was quickly reprimanded by NY and was told to leave the wildlife alone. He huffed but listened, it was NY who was driving after all, and he knew that the empire state could just dump him off and leave him to call either Georgia or Florida to get him, and NJ didn't trust either to drive.

He still admired the lizard, and got a couple pictures for the other states, especially Rhode Island, who he knew loved animals, reptiles included. After a bit of looking around, they found a whole group of brown anoles, and a couple of green anoles. The garden state got pictures of them as well, being highly interested.

NY watched his acquaintance take pictures of everything, some even with the good camera, but whenever he did that, he moved back if there were animals near to prevent them from being spooked by the sound of the polaroid camera.

Pretty soon, the empire state had to tell his friend that they had to go back to the vrbo because it was getting very dark. NJ scoffed but followed NY, looking at the stuff he took pictures of. The car ride was dead quiet, and NJ ended up falling asleep, as by the time they got back it was nearly midnight.

A/n: The lizard picture is a picture I just took today. I found a lizard, and when I tried to catch it, this pink thingy fanned out. I searched it up, and I've came to the conclusion that it's a young brown anole. Might be the only update today, might post headcannons to help make everything make sense hopefully.
