Soon enough, both of them were tired of dancing their heart out and planned on sitting somewhere to catch a breath.Unfortunately, they were joined by Astoria Greengrass. Astoria, never one to miss an opportunity, strolled over to Draco and Harry, a mischievous glint in her eyes. Ignoring the previous hints of Draco's disinterest, she plopped down between them, invading their personal space with a smile.
Draco, growing increasingly irritated by Astoria, mustered all his patience. With a tight-lipped smile, he addressed her, "Astoria, we were actually hoping for a moment of peace. Perhaps you could find someone else to entertain?"
Astoria, feigning innocence, leaned closer to Draco. "Oh, Draco, how could I go somewhere else? I've heard you got yourself a boyfriend. I am here to show that I am much better than him."
Feeling increasingly uncomfortable, Harry locked eyes with Draco, who had reached his limit. His patience evaporated, replaced by a boiling rage that threatened to spill over. Draco's eyes narrowed, his Slytherin instincts kicking in as he formulated a plan to put Astoria in her place. With a composed demeanour, he leaned back slightly, maintaining a polite smile on his face.
"Well, Astoria, it seems you've mistaken the situation entirely," Draco began, his voice dripping with calculated sarcasm. "You see, Harry isn't just my boyfriend; he's the love of my life. And I assure you, he's far more than you could ever hope to be."
Astoria's confidence wavered for a moment, but she quickly regained her composure, attempting to brush off Draco's words. "Oh, please, Draco. I'm just having a bit of fun. You know you've always been the one I wanted."
Draco's smile turned cold, his tone cutting through the air like a knife. "Ah, Astoria, you never were one for subtlety. But I must say, your attempts at flirtation are rather transparent. You see, while you may view me as some prize to be won, I assure you that I have no interest in being a mere conquest."
Astoria's face reddened, her attempts at confidence faltering under Draco's biting remarks. She fumbled for a response, but Draco continued, his voice filled with quiet disdain.
"You know, Astoria, it's a shame. I had thought you possessed more intelligence. But alas, you've chosen to ignore the obvious. Harry and I have found something real, something profound. It's a connection that surpasses fleeting desires and superficial pursuits."
Astoria's mask of charm shattered, her frustration and embarrassment seeping through her façade. Draco seized the opportunity to strike the final blow, his voice dripping with calculated disdain.
"And let's not forget, Astoria, your rather unfortunate habit of inserting yourself into situations where you clearly aren't wanted. It's quite unbecoming, really. Perhaps it's time for some self-reflection and introspection."
Astoria, unable to withstand Draco's verbal assault any longer, rose from her seat, a mixture of anger and wounded pride etched on her face. Without uttering a word, she stormed away, her attempt at asserting her superiority crumbling under the weight of Draco's words.
Harry, not being able to contain his amusement, burst into a fit of giggles as he watched Astoria stomp away.
A yawn slipped through Harry's lips, catching Draco's attention. "Tired?" Draco inquired.
