Realization dawned on Harry's face. "I can communicate with snakes because I have a fragment of your soul inside me. Is there a way to get the piece of your soul out of me?"Voldemort's features bore an expression of acknowledgement. "Indeed. It is the ancient ritual known as the Babić Ritual of Souls—an ancient and forgotten practice. Not many books talk about this subject. The ritual, also known as the Rite of Shattered Souls, is a delicate process that seeks to sever the bond between our souls. It will require both physical and emotional strength from both of us."
As Voldemort unravelled the intricacies of the ritual, Harry's attention was fully captivated. The Rite of Shattered Souls called for a consecrated space, imbued with potent enchantments and safeguarded by the presence of age-old runes.
Harry's heart raced as Voldemort explained the most crucial aspect of the ritual. To sever the connection between their souls, Harry would need to delve into his own mind. He had to delve deep, unravelling the intricate web of his consciousness to uncover the hidden dwelling of the Horcrux within him and keep that Horcrux accessible, its presence open and vulnerable.
In turn, Voldemort would employ delicate Legilimancy, delving into the depths of Harry's mind with the utmost care. He would navigate the intricate corridors of memories and thoughts, meticulously searching for the Horcrux. Voldemort then had to absorb the Horcrux while still immersed in Harry's mind. The dark lord had to be cautious, ensuring that he did not inadvertently drain Harry's life force in the process. Once the Horcrux was fully absorbed, Voldemort would need to cease the Legilimancy, severing their connection and liberating Harry from the piece of his soul.
"You can take your time to consider it. Draco, why don't you take Harry along with you to purchase the necessary items he would need later on?"
Harry and Draco walked out of Voldemort's office. Harry remained in a daze, his mind still processing all the information he had received in the past few hours.
"Harry, do you want to go shopping now or should we go later?" Draco called out.
Noticing Harry's lack of response, "Harry! Harry!" Draco said, gently shaking his shoulders.
"Huh?" Harry responded, clearly indicating that he hadn't heard anything. Draco repeated the question.
"Can we go later? I want to return to the room," Harry said. Draco guided Harry to his room and sat him down on the bed.
"Sleep for a while," Draco suggested. "It will help clear your mind." He placed a vial of diluted dreamless sleep on the dresser and left, allowing Harry to contemplate his thoughts.
