As the test progressed, Snape's demeanour shifted from scepticism to astonishment. It turned out that the goblins also discovered layers of magical compulsions and glamours that had been placed on him, forcing him to act a certain way.
As the test came to an end, Snape was visibly overwhelmed by the revelations. He looked at Draco, Mattheo, and Dahlia, gratitude and awe evident in his eyes.
He shifted his gaze towards the Goblin and followed him to another room. An hour later, as Snape walked out, he was at a loss for words, his emotions conflicting within him. He looked at Harry, who met his gaze with a mixture of understanding and forgiveness.
"You don't have to forgive me," Snape said quietly.
"I know," Harry replied gently. "But I want to try."
And at that moment, Snape felt a weight lift from his shoulders. He took a deep breath and spoke with sincerity, "I'm sorry, Harry. For everything."
Harry nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Thank you, Professor Snape."
Severus nodded, a true smile gracing his lips. Rage bubbled up inside him. How dare he? How dare Dumbledore do that? He felt disgusted even thinking about the fact that he had once trusted Dumbledore.
The following day, the four of them – Harry, Draco, Mattheo and Dahlia used the time turner to go back to Hogwarts just half an hour before they originally left. Harry pretended that everything was normal when they went back to Hogwarts and parted for their own ways. Harry decided to ignore both Ron and Hermione after the incident that followed his return.
Harry didn't know it yet but he would not at all be happy with what was set in store for him – Hermione. Hermione's bossy and irritating behaviour only seemed to escalate in the half an hour Harry had left for, and Ron was blindly following her lead without question. Harry found himself growing increasingly annoyed and frustrated with their attitudes. Harry tried to maintain his composure and brush off their behaviour, but it was becoming increasingly challenging.
One afternoon, Hermione and Ron approached him once again. Hermione started criticizing the way Harry handled a recent potion-making class, and Ron chimed in, echoing her sentiments.
"Harry, you really need to pay more attention in class!" Hermione exclaimed with a disapproving frown.
"Yeah, mate, you should listen to Hermione. She's always right," Ron added, looking at Hermione as if she held all the answers.
Harry felt a wave of anger and frustration wash over him. He took a deep breath, trying to keep his cool. "Hermione, I appreciate your concern, but I know what I'm doing. I don't need constant lectures," he said firmly.
