I couldn't bare for her to go, but I couldn't face the idea of taking her down with me. Wiping her sweet little tears away holding back my own with all my strength
"Please go my angel, Please"
She sniffled and pulled me into a tight hug, "I guess this is goodbye"
"... I guess so."
"I'm so very happy to have met you Thomas, and I will cherish our time together no matter how brief it was."
"I wouldn't have changed it for anything. Go on you don't want to miss the boat" I hugged her as tight as I possible could giving her a sweet kiss making sure to savour every single little thing about her and our last moment together, the staff pulled us apart but I pushed him away giving her a small forced smile, making sure I held her hand tightly helping her climb into the lifeboat and take her seat there, by now silent tears steaming down her cheeks. I held my breath to prevent my tears as they made there checks and send out there signal.
Now the ropes loosened slowly letting the boat descend, she blew me a small kiss and I blew her one back slowly watching her disappear from view, even though I knew my fate I felt a wave of relief that I she was safe, even if that meant I now faced my fate alone.
