Izuku sat carrying his large tray of food next to Mina. She snorted at the absurd amount on his tray and bumped her shoulder with him in greeting. "Where did you go?" Shinso asked.
"I had to make sure Iida was alright. He is now."
The others looked at each other in confusion, and Mina asked. "What do you mean?"
"Iida's brother was hurt badly and he was sad and angry. So I talked to him and now he should be better, I guess." He shrugged.
"Oh, that's thoughtful of you." Jirou smiled.
"Thanks! I'm the pack leader and need to make sure everyone is safe and happy."
Shinso shook his head. "I mean, it's pretty close to your responsibilities as class president." He sighed in acceptance.
"Did you guys find out where you are going for the interview thing? I'm going with Gang Orca." Izuku asked.
"Why him? Isn't he more aquatic than woods?" Mina took a bite from Izuku's lunch.
"I wanted to see the ocean, and he looked cool. Plus, I don't think there were any heroes on my papers that work in the woods." He grumbled.
"I'm going with Eraserhead. He's pretty much my alley in terms of hero work." Shinso shrugged.
"I'm thinking of going with Present Mic," Jirou said.
Mina and Shoji were undecided. They ate their lunch, and Izuku caught the looks Monoma was giving him from across the lunchroom. He waved with a smile, and the blond waved him over. Lunch ended, but Izuku walked over anyway. He followed him into his class, and Vlad King raised an eyebrow as he walked in.
"Hey, Noma." Izuku greeted with his usual smile.
"I was going to ask about what you were talking about during the festival, but it seems inappropriate at the moment." He gestured to the filling classroom. He did smile at the nickname Izuku gave him.
"Mh?" Izuku tilted his head in thought. "Oh! That? I don't mind, but I'll wait until everyone arrives so I don't have to repeat myself." He saw Vlad furrow his brow but didn't stop him.
"Are you sure? I don't want to pry." Monoma tried to back peddle.
"It's fine." He waved him off and turned to the rest of the class looking at him. "Hello! I'm Izuku, the pack leader of 1A."
"Class President." Vlad corrected. "That." Izuku nodded and pointed at the tall man.
"What's going on?" Tetsutetsu raised his hand.
"Monoma wanted to know what he overheard during the festival, and I thought it would be a good idea to let you all know like I did in my class. I'll give you the short version."
"You don't have to." Monoma tried again.
"When I was fiveish, mother took me to the middle of the woods and left me there to die, I survived, got my quirk, and then came to UA." He said and looked around at the blank stares aimed at him.
"That isn't funny, man."
"What kind of sick joke is this?"
"Oh, this is like a prank?"
Izuku tilted his head in confusion. "I'm not joking."
"Oh yea? Prove it!" Someone challenged.
Izuku thought about it for a moment and looked out the window to the woods. "Alright! I'll be right back." He dove out the window, and his changed form was seen sprinting to the woods.
