Fight! Fight! Fight!

Izuku and Shinso walked into the arena with Nem telling them the rules of the match. Izuku was grinning in excitement at Shinso and his friend was grumbling to himself and had his arms crossed.

"I just want the record to state that I believe this is bullshit," Shinso said trying to goad Izuku to say something.

Izuku pouted at his friend but kept his mouth shut as Nem waved at them to start. When Shinso tried to say something again, Izuku bolted forward and he tried to leap out of the way. It was no use as Izuku wrapped him up in a few tendrils and picked him up. Shinso tried to struggle for a moment but went limp and gave up. With a sigh, Shinso tried to forfeit but a tendril wrapped around his mouth and he glared at the grinning Izuku. The beast of a boy walked over to the edge of the ring and set him gently outside the ring. Shinso kept his arms crossed and glared at Izuku the whole while.

"Shinso Hitoshi is out by ring out!" Nem announced and the crowd clapped with many chuckles at the display of the first match.

"You're a dick," Shinso complained.

"Stop saying bad words!" Izuku admonished his friend but couldn't contain his smile at the match.

The two made their way out of the arena together and headed up to the student stands. Izuku was still excited to see everyone else fight as they sat down with Shoji and Shinso. Mina and Sato strolled up to the ring and the same process started as Nem explained the rules. The match started and Mina started to slide around while Sato tried to catch her. She lobbed blobs of acid at Sato as she glided around him. Sato began to slip with every step and the acid on him began to get more and more irritating as the seconds passed. With a grunt of frustration, Sato forfeited the match, and Mina ran up to Sato and poured more acid on him but the relief on his face was evident.

Izuku was mimicking the others and cheered for Mina as she waved at the crowd and headed off the ring. She arrived at the stands with Sato and she sat next to Izuku. He gave her congratulations and a beaming smile. Mina giggled at his enthusiasm and then watched the next match with Jirou against Kendo. It was a pretty straightforward match since Kendo just had to catch Jirou and toss her out of the ring. Jirou tried to make Kendo release her by using her earlobes but it only made Kendo throw her out faster.

Todoroki's match with Sero was very interesting and anticlimactic. An ice glacier sprung up covering Sero and sticking out of the stadium.

"Why are they saying 'nice try' to Sero? He lost horribly." Izuku asked his friend.

Mina snorted and Shinso explained. "They are trying to sympathize with Sero. Not many people would have been able to win when something like that was thrown at them."

Izuku shrugged and kinda understood so he let it pass. Todoroki melted the mass and the next match started. A hairy teen from the other class was against Yayoruzo but the boy was shifting uncomfortably as they waited for the match to start. The boy didn't speak much and immediately charged forward when they started. Yayoruzo made a staff but she was yanked to the side by Shinshida in his transformed state. The staff was yanked out of her hands and she was tossed out of the ring quickly.

Izuku could smell the dried tears on Yayoruzo and the disappointment when she sat with them. Izuku didn't like that and turned around. "Hey, Yayoruzo? Why didn't you make a gun in your match?"

Yayoruzo raised her eyebrows in surprise and shook her head. "I wanted to show my ability to use my staff but as you can see it didn't go well."

Izuku smelled more of that disappointment. "You could have just beat the hairy guy with something better and then show off your stick skills against someone else."
