Mina held the shivering girl to her chest as she backed away from the footsteps. She kept an eye on the entrance of the alleyway just as she was trained and pulled her phone out to call for help. Whether or not Izuku could beat whoever the girl was hiding from, they needed to call this in. And since they didn't have access to the appropriate channels, she called Izuku's adoptive mother.
"What are you doing with my daughter?" The man with the bird mask asked Izuku. His eyes flickered from him to Cane to Mina and the child in her arms.
Izuku's eyes took in the man as he stopped in front of them. "She was hiding and scared from someone." His posture was lower to the ground and ready to pounce at a moment's notice.
"Ah, yes. She is afraid of punishment after disobeying me and running away once again. Give her to me." The man said as he pulled off his gloves.
Cane growled and Izuku agreed with his packmate. While he didn't sense a lie, he sensed malice radiating off of him in waves. "Why does she have bandages like that? Only hurt people where those." Izuku opened an eye on the back of his neck to help Mina keep an eye on their backs.
"Don't you know it's inappropriate to ask questions like that?" The increasingly annoyed man asked.
"No, I don't. I'm still learning, are you the one that hurt her?" Izuku said honestly.
The man turned from him and looked at the child. "Eri, come here now. Or there will be more severe consequences."
"No, I don't think so. You give me the capital B Bad vibe." Mina said as she continued to back away from them. "It's alright, Izu is strong." She said more quietly to Eri.
"No! He'll kill you." Eri said crying.
"You've made your choice!" The villain said as he slapped his hand on the alleyway wall.
Dozens of stone spears shot out of the wall to impale Izuku and Cane where they stood. Izuku didn't have to tell Cane to get under him as he formed bone shields on his arms. The spears impacted with enough force to crack the reinforced bones. Cane shot out from under Izuku's legs and pounced, aiming for the villain's neck. He managed to put up his other arm in the way of the jaws just in time to save himself from being killed but his arm was ravaged by Cane's enhanced jaws and fangs.
Cane ripped his head to the side and tore a chunk of muscle and flesh with the movement. A hand moved to touch Cane's head but a bone bolt shot the hand and pinned it to his chest. He screamed in pain and anger as he watched Eri disappear around the alleyway with Mina carrying her.
He used his quirk on himself to heal the hand and the missing chunk of flesh in an instant as Izuku lunged at him with claws outstretched to grab him. Not expecting the limbs to be healed, he couldn't dodge the villain's hand touching Izuku's outstretched hand.
It all happened in an instant but it felt like everything slowed down for Izuku as he felt something wanting to change his body without his instruction. The body which he had control over all his life was beginning to turn into a bloody mist. It began when the villain touched him and traveled up his arm to his chest. Izuku forced his will to stop the process. His body was his quirk and he controlled his quirk, no one else did only him. Cells came apart under the villain's command and they stopped under Izuku's will.
The walls of the alleyway were painted red from Izuku's arm exploding. From halfway down his bicep, it was a bloody stump. He roared in pain at the missing limb and quickly shut down the nerves that were severed. He lashed out with his whole arm at the man who took his arm and raked his claws across his eyes. More blood splattered the alleyway as the villain reeled back in pain. He slapped his hand on the ground as he hit it and stone spikes shot out at the pair.
