y/n is a water ghoul

 The weather was slowly shifting from the cool and comforting autumn breeze to the harsh and unforgiving chill of winter. All the trees were bare (except for those few that refused to shed their leaves) and a light snow covered the ground. Most of the plants in the garden had been moved to the greenhouse, leaving the outside desolate and bare.

The freezing air had begun to sneak through the cracks of the old building the clergy had called its home. Siblings began to wear fuzzy socks and cloves to match their outfits. The ghouls had begun to huddle against the fire and multi ghouls, seeing as the earth and air ghouls body temperature changed with the weather, and quintessence and water ghouls were just naturally cold.

The bitter chill of the air had particularly affected y/n, the newest addition to the ghoul pack. They were a water ghoul, and this was their first winter topside. They honestly thought they were going to get frostbite when the first days of winter rolled around. So they did what every sane ghoul would do, find a personal heater (aka, a fire ghoul).

y/n wandered down the halls in search of someone to heat them up. They had already checked Swiss's room, seeing the multi ghoul snuggled up with Rain and Phantom. And Sunshine was squished between all the ghoulettes in a desperate attempt to heat them up after they had played in the snow.

They paused in front of Dew's door. They knocked lightly and wrapped their arms around themselves, trying to warm up. Dew yelled something that sounded like 'come in' from behind the door, so that's what y/n did. A smile crept onto their face when they saw that he was alone, meaning there was no one to share with.

"Need something?" Dew looked y/n up and down, noticing their shivering.

"It's cold as balls," their voice was shaky as they hugged themselves tighter. Dew sighed and motioned for them to sit next to him. They all but ran up to him, burying themselves into his side. Dew wrapped an arm around their shoulders and cranked up his body heat. y/n sighed and pulled the fire ghoul closer, the tips of their fingers finally regaining some sort of feeling.

"I'm surprised no one else was in here already," they mumbled.

"Me too," Dew chuckled. "Woulda thought Rain would be here on a day like this."

"He's with Swiss, so is Phantom." y/n snuggled further into Dew's side. Dew nodded and pulled y/n onto his lap, resting his head in the crook of their neck.

"Guess you're my own personal heater for the day," y/n laughed. They leaned their head back to rest on Dew's shoulder and sighed. Dew wrapped his arms around their waist and pulled them closer.

"Fuck, I was hoping that I would be Mountain's personal heater," sarcasm was dripping

from his voice. y/n huffed turned their head to look into Dew's fiery eyes. They laughed and kissed the tip of his nose, their hair lightly tickling his skin.

"Mountain would need at least two of you to warm him up. You're so tiny he might even need three Dewdrops!" y/n laughed and booped his nose. Dew grumbled and moved out from underneath them, flipping them over. He straddled their waist and put his hands on either side of their head, looking into their shiny eyes. A smirk rose to their lips.

"Who're you calling tiny!"

"You, silly! What are you, three sauce packets tall?" y/n smiled innocently at him. Dew grumbled and flopped on top of them. y/n yelped.

""M'not fucking tiny," Dew stated, kissing their neck. y/n squirmed beneath him.

"But you are!" the retorted. "You're my tiny little guy!" Dew's head shot up.

"I'm not tiny! I'm big and strong and tall as fuck! I'm 12'2"!" he playfully shouted. y/n shook their head and pulled Dew back down on top of them.

"12'2" my ass, you're what, 2'3"!?" Dew huffed and sat back up, looking down on y/n.

"Call me tiny one more time and I leave your ass out there in the snow to freeze, got

that?"He pointed towards the small window in his room. y/n nodded feverishly.

"Yes sir, understood." They playfully saluted and smiled up at him. Dew smirked and layed back down, trapping y/n underneath him. He resumed kissing their neck, earning a soft purr from y/n. They ran their fingers through his hair, getting him to purr as well.

"Dew, I'm–"

–"Fuck off, Aether, I'm their personal heater for the day." Aether nodded and stepped out of the room. y/n laughed.

"So you do want to be my personal heater today?" Dew knew they were smirking, even if he couldn't see their face.

"Not Mountain or Aether?" Dew shook his head.

"Just my personal heater?"

"Just yours," Dew confirmed. He rolled over and pulled y/n with him, caging them in his arms. His tail went to wrap around their ankle. y/n wrapped their arms around his waist and buried their face into his chest.

"Feeling warmer yet?" Dew kissed their forehead. They grunted and nodded their head.

"You're the best personal heater anyone could ask for," they mumbled. Dew smiled and healed them closer.

"Even if you're tiny," they whispered to themselves, although Dew heard it. He growled

and rolled over, lowering his body temperature enough so that they would get cold but he would stay warm.

"Wait, I'm sorry! Dewy please, you aren't tiny, I promise," they whined, making grabby hands at the grumpy fire ghoul.

"Please, I'm sorry i called you tiny," they drew out the last part of tiny, their voice turning into a groan. Dew rolled his eyes and huffed.

"I'm gonna freeze to death Dewy, please!" They whined again. Dew sighed and rolled back over, throwing a blanket over the both of them. It was an ugly mustard yellow, but it was soft and brought some sort of warmth to y/n's frozen body. They scooted into Dew's open arms and sighed.

"Can't have you freezing to death in my room," he muttered. "Aether would kill me." y/n laughed and pulled him closer. He cranked his body heat up again and kissed the top of their head. y/n soon fell asleep in his embrace, a soft purr rumbling through their body.

"I'm the best fucking personal heater you've ever seen," Dew whispered to no one in particular before falling asleep as well.
