Abigail sat on her bed deep in thought expecting Ezra or her unfamiliar angel to make an appearance. Sure, it was great learning that she had an angel but then again, she didn't know how to talk to Emily or how to interact with her. Sometimes she'd show herself and other times, Abigail knew that her best friend could see them. Which was an unusual gift that Althea had received. One thing she wished was that she knew more about her powers and where they came from. With a whoosh of feathers, the girls turned to find Emily making an appearance yet again but no Ezra.

"Wait where's Ezra?" Abigail asked caught off guard and worried.

"He went to speak with my father," Emily responded. "But I'm here to help you."

Before they could say anything, someone began banging on the door. Althea and Abigail glanced at each other unsure of what they should do or say.

"Are either of you going to answer that?" Emily questioned.

Abigail got up from the bed and made her way to the door. Grabbing the cold metallic door handle, Abigail pulled it open to find Peter standing on the other side. He'd been out of breath and dressed in black clothes. His hair was a mess and he was more worried than anything.

"Okay what's wrong with you?" Abigail asked as Peter pushed his way in.

"Peter?" Althea said in shock. "What happened? Why are you out of breath?"

"When you didn't pick up your phone I sent you a voice message," Peter answered. "The Servants were just at my store in the downtown area, we have a big problem."

"Don't we ever?" Althea complained.

"Who are you?" Emily asked. Peter looked over and saw the young girl standing there about Abigail's age with her arms crossed. "Why are you dressed in black? You better not be one of those people who sent hellhounds to attack my charge and her friend."

"What?" Peter asked, confused. "I'm not! I broke away from those fools last semester!"

"Okay enough!" Althea exclaimed. "Peter this is the Angel, Emily, and Emily this is Peter former member of the Servants of Evil. He's on our side."

Emily remained complicit, not willing to move at any chance she got. She turned and stormed over to the opposite desk and sat down. Remaining quiet as Peter and the girls began to talk about the situation.

*~*~*

Ezra didn't want to leave his charge to deal with something in heaven but if his father called him then he had no other choice but to answer. As long as he didn't enrage his father, he assumed that it would be fine. Ezra appeared in heaven standing in front of the large iron gate. Slowly, he made his wave over to it and pushed the gates open, stepping through and making his way toward the conference room where he knew his family would be waiting for him. Stepping through this large house which resembled almost like a castle, Ezra walked through until he came across the great hall. All around him, his brothers and sisters and his father were by the table talking about something in the human world. All eyes turned on him when the doors slammed shut.

"Ah, my son, glad you could come in," The almighty one said. "I've been worried about you."

"Sorry father," Ezra said, bowing his head. "But I was doing like you asked, protecting my charge at all costs."

"Yes, I know father, today the Servants used a hell hound to attack the campus," he explained. "But we dealt with it and I believe that Abigail's powers are beginning to surface, I just don't know what other powers she has."

Ezra glanced at his older brother Michael who seemed more than ever worried. There was a wrinkle that showed on his forehead and his brother's face looked as if he was exhausted. Even though Ezra wanted to say something and talk about how they needed to stop the Servants from summoning any other demons. All the angels shifted in their seats unaware of what else they could say. Things were getting serious if enemies were starting to find ways to summon the hellhounds then there had to be something that Ezra could do.

*~*~*

Althea had to hand it to Peter, he came all the way back from his job in town to warn them about the Servants. The fact that the servants had practically threatened Peter made her believe that the servants were going to be one step ahead of them. No way was she going to deal with their sorry asses again. Althea turned to everyone and told them that she needed to step out for a few minutes and that she would be back. Turning on her heels and despite their protests, Althea walked out of the dormitory and made her way throughout the campus. She hadn't changed out of her graduation dress yet but still she needed to have time to herself. With her angel gone to heaven she had high hopes that he wouldn't be gone for long. Especially since the Servants were still on a rampage and Mammon wasn't going to stop until he took them down.

Althea walked across the bridge as the water from the pond rippled and poured over the edge of the fountain. Her thoughts circled as she continued walking throughout the school. However, as she thought to herself, a sudden coldness overcame her and she struggled to even stay upright. Her body was shaking and she couldn't figure out what was going on. The campus was incredibly warm due to it being late spring early summer.

"You think that it's easy?" a voice said from behind. Althea paused and turned around only to come face to face with Adam. "I never thought that you would be out and about without your little angel protector." Adam's lips dipped into a frown. His eyes held a darker purpose.

"How the hell could you show yourself here you son of a bitch!" Althea exclaimed. "You can't go anywhere near me, not while Ezra will come down and attack you!"

"Ezra this, Ezra that, I'm sick of hearing that stupid name," Adam responded. "He got in the way last semester, we were close to summoning more of the princes of hell. But because of his intervention, we only summoned Mammon!"

"Cut to the chase you dirty no good bitch," Demanded Althea. "I've gotten stronger so either you tell me what the hell you want or i'm going to kill you right here on the spot."

"Now, don't start saying something like that, you wanna be angel," Adam said. "I came here to tell you, that if you don't stay out of the way, let's just say things are gonna get heated," he continued. "We will bring forth the darkness and we will make sure that you and your friends will be the first to die. Until then, see you later Althea."

Adam laughed maniacally and left Althea there. Althea's stomach dropped; she couldn't believe that this would have happened, especially to her. Heart racing, Althea took off back to the dorm room just in time for Ezra to return. Only this time he seemed to be more prepared than she thought.
