The Hellhound stood in the shadows hidden away from the prying eyes of the Animal Empath. When it attacked the people in the field all it could think about was following orders and killing as many people as it could. But when it encountered the animal Empath it found itself suddenly calm and questioning its purpose. The creature had whimpered at the ti9me and took off running with its brother.

This time, however, it wasn't going to give up. Mammon had ordered it to attack. His sibling had to stay back. As two hell hounds would be easy to track. His glowing red eyes stood out the most. So, when it locked eyes with the Animal Empath's angel, it started to growl. They were inside the building so it could not attack even if it wanted to.

The group began to leave the building but rather them going toward his hiding spot, they walked into the forest. Lowly growling, he stepped away from his hiding spot and followed them. They walked for what seemed like forever and as he was getting ready to attack but the group had vanished.

*~*~*

Althea's feelings did not let up, especially about what happened on the football field earlier that day. Something was off, they were walking out of the dormitory, her mind would not clear. That is until she noticed her friend Abigail looking uncomfortable. She'd continuously be touching her necklace like there was something not right about the way they were going. Althea couldn't blame her considering she was feeling the same way.

It also didn't help that Ezra had some sort of plan forming in his mind leaving her with a pit in her stomach.

"What's the plan?" Althea asked. "We aren't just going to keep running, are we?"

Althea looked over at her angel with worry, the group had gone into the forest, but the sudden overwhelming feeling overcame her, and she kept looking back over her shoulder as if there was something there.

"Trust me," Ezra said. "I know what I'm doing."

"Funny, dear brother," Emily said. "You said that before and we ended up getting in trouble with our father."

"You what?" Abigail said stunned.

"They got in trouble with their father," Peter responded.

"No one asked you, Peter," Emily answered.

"Look that was one time," Ezra grumbled.

The group stopped in the middle of the Alpine Forest when Althea glanced at her friend again and saw that she was getting antsy. A growl emerged from behind them as the group ducked behind any place that they could. Abigail peeked around a tree, and from the looks of it, she'd been shocked.

"Abigail?" Althea asked. "Are you okay?"

"H- hell hound," Abigail stammered "There's no way that's possible!"

"You saw it before!" Peter whispered-yelled.

*~*~*

Abigail stood in shock; she couldn't believe it. It was an actual hellhound. Things that were depicted in the bible as something inhumane and way more animalistic. It snarled at her and stared at her like she was a piece of meat. Being behind the tree was meant for cover but she couldn't help but feel sorry for the animal. It was being forced into doing something that it never wanted to get into in the first place. She made a brave choice and stepped out from behind the trees.

The hellhound's eyes glanced at her, it was blood red. The corners of its mouth dripped with drool.

"Nice doggie," Abigail said slowly approaching the hellhound, it growled ready for an attack. But rather, Abigail kneeled and held out her hand. "It's alright, I'm not going to let anything happen to you."

The hellhound looked at her, curiously. As if it was wondering what it should do.

"Abigail?!" Althea whispered-screamed. "What the hell are you doing?!"

Abigail ignored her.

"Come here sweetie," Abigail said. The hound stopped growling and began approaching her. "That's right, I'm not going to hurt you."

The dog's eyes changed from blood red to brown as it approached Abigail with ease. It touched her outstretched hand and sat down like it wanted her to chase it. Suddenly, it's fur changed color and became a beautiful gray wolf with silver fur. It started thumping its tail as it quickly ran over to Abigail who laughed when the dogs tongue licked her in the face.

"See that wasn't so bad," she said.

*~*~*

Althea was stunned at the sight. The wolf had gone from terrifying to something beautiful. Abigail didn't seem to mind either.

"How did she?" Althea started but Emily held up her hand.

"It's part of her abilities," Emily said. "She can communicate with all creatures, even that hellhound."

"Right," Peter said. "But that's only one of the hellhounds, I thought there were two?"

"Can we talk about that later? We got to get out of here, I hope you guys have a good place to hide?" Althea asked. "We can't keep staying on this campus, otherwise the Servants and the demons would be coming after us."

Abigail stood and walked over.

"I feel like we're stuck in a Demigod universe right now," Abigail said. The dog followed her. "But Althea is right, we can't stay here."

The girls glanced at Peter and the angels waiting for one of them to say something.

"There is one place that we could hide," Ezra suggested.

*~*~*

Adam watched from his scrying mirror, an antique mirror that had old designs surrounding it. The mirror was black and due to it being a magical object, it did not show his reflection. Adam was in his sacred hide place amongst the ruins of the old cabin not too far from Celestial University. Over the summer, the once beautiful rustic cabin barely made it as it was burned down by a strange fire. At least that's what the students claimed.

What had happened was that when they were attempting to summon another one of the princes of hell, it instead caused a large fire from a sacred candle. He didn't want to think about it at first, but it made things hard considering he was literally going up against the demiurge warriors. He thought back to the prophecy he'd read in the previous year and walked over to his bookbag, an old leather bag with ancient writing in it.

While his two friends Jennifer and Alex were off plotting something, he stayed back and pulled out the leatherbound book. The cover was old and worn with Latin writing on it. The book translated to Powerful Spells. Putting his bag down, Adam opened the book and flipped through to the prophetic page.

Beware of the person who can hear the angels speak.

They will be more powerful than they appear.

They will have hidden abilities that we can't comprehend.

Something about that prophecy still gave him chills even after he read it. As Adam looked over the page, his eye caught part of the prophecy which had appeared right below the original.

The angel and the animal will grow.

And form an unlikely bond.

To defeat all evil and defeat it before it gets stronger.

Somehow his heart began to pound. Like it was ready to launch out of his chest.

"How had I not seen that before?"

Twigs snapped. Adam hid the book in his bag thinking that there was someone there. Probably a stranger exploring the forest.

Jennifer and Alex stepped out from the forest. Giving him a big sigh of relief.
