The fiery pits of the Underworld and the wailing that paved the way for Mammon to be happy and pleased at hearing everything that the souls of the troubled were going through. At first, he didn't like it. Especially when he first got to hell and after he got kicked out of heaven for siding with his own brother, he couldn't take it and wished he could have gone back to heaven. But after what he had done, it was less likely that he would be welcomed back.

Mammon walked through the Underworld until he arrived at a large castle decked out in nothing but black stone. Lava surrounded the castle. A large bridge gave him a way to cross without any trouble from the spirits. Ever since he learned more about humans and more about his enemies, he was unsure of where he could go from there. So naturally, he decided to go and ask his brother Lucifer.

Upon arriving at the castle gates and crossing the bridge of torture, he finally set foot inside his brother's palace. Skeleton guards guided him to the throne room where Lucifer sat. He stepped into the room and beheld his brother.

Lucifer had snow white hair, his eyes were as red as blood, and he had fangs as sharp as a shark. Despite his demeanor, Lucifer also had skin so pale and sickly that it made things hard to tell if he was truly healthy or if he was simply tired of the souls and being trapped in the bowels of the underworld.

"Dear brother," Mammon said and bowed before him. "I have come to speak with you,"

Mammon looked up as he watched Lucifer look at him as if he didn't recognize him.

"Um, do I know you?" Lucifer asked. "Or are you still some helpless soul?"

"It is I, brother, Mammon," Mammon responded. "I am only possessing this young girl whose soul you've tortured for years,"

"And I see that she has finally caved and given you a body?" Lucifer said nonchalantly.

"Yes, sir," Mammon nodded. "I understand that you want to get out of here, the Servants are working on it right now."

Lucifer went quiet, he stood and stepped away from the throne.

"I understand that you haven't succeeded on your mission?"

"Sir, we've been trying but two Empaths and an angel were standing in our way,"

Lucifer narrowed his eyes.

"Which angel?" He asked.

"He calls himself, Ezra, I understand you have a history with him?" Mammon asked.

"Not so much as a history, my dearest brother," Lucifer turned away. "But more of a love-hate relationship, you see, I knew him when he was human," he explained. "Of course, I should have guessed he'd be helping humanity, not that I'm complaining. And who are these two Empaths that you speak about?"

Mammon remained unsure. Not taking any risks at upsetting him.

"Their names are Abigail and Althea!" Mammon exclaimed. "They're training to become stronger, and it doesn't help that Peter defected to their side!"

Suddenly, Lucifer lashed out and yelled pointing his hand at one of his skeleton guards, the guard struggled to move as Lucifer lifted the bone guard into the air and tossing it hard against his black brick wall. The bones broke into a million pieces, however, before it could rejoin, Lucifer snapped his fingers and the bones turned to dust.

"Mammon, you better deal with them!" Lucifer exclaimed. "I am tired of being trapped in this fiery pit of disgust, surrounded by a million stupid souls that were sent to hell because of their wrongdoings!" Lucifer continued. "Our father sent us down here because we told him that humans would forget their way and forget who their creators were! If we get stuck yet again with anymore failures, I can't get my revenge!"

Mammon shivered at the amount of anger radiating from his brother.

"I need you to deal with them, if you do not, then you will end up like that stupid guard!" Lucifer ordered.

"Don't worry dear brother, I'll make sure my pets go after them."

*~*~*

Althea's stomach dropped she was amazed at what she had learned. But she wondered how her friend was doing. Not long after she wondered, did they hear the door open. Althea paused and turned to find Abigail and Peter back. She breathed a sigh of relief knowing that everything was well and good. Abigail seemed different like she had discovered something.

"Abigail?" Althea asked. "You seem different?"

"Let's just say that I learned how to control my elements," Abigail responded.

Althea paused and glanced over at her angel. Unsure of how she would respond. Of course, she was confused about it and didn't exactly understand what he was talking about.

"I think we should all take a break at this point," Emily said, catching Althea off guard. She'd forgotten that Emily was there. Althea couldn't agree more, she'd been mentally exhausted from everything that she just went through especially looking for her spirit animals. Still, though, she had been caught off guard by that and she didn't know what more to think and wondered how her spirit animals would make themselves known. Could it be through the trees? A brief breeze? Or a flickering image?

*~*~*~

Emily had watched despite wanting to get rid of Peter to protect her charge, she remained quiet. Knowing that this was the only way Abigail could control her powers and abilities. She had to learn how to harness the powers of nature if she were to take on the demons. An angel conduit could only do so much. There were limitations to their use. And their powers were rare. But it just so happened that Althea was an angel conduit and Abigail was a true follower. It made things easier so she wouldn't have to worry about going out there to search for Abigail.

Abigail had the makings of an animal empath. Even those were rare, not many people had the ability to communicate with animals barely anyone could even understand an animal. So, if anyone could defeat Mammon and those hell hounds, she could as, Animal Empaths could see the hellhounds where an angel conduit couldn't. That was the reason she was brought down to earth.

All her thoughts were smashed when she heard growling coming from outside. She paused and looked out the window, something was off, and she couldn't figure out what. Then she heard the growling again.

"This is not good," she said to herself. Too bad Althea heard it.

"What's not good?" Althea asked.

"We must be ready," Emily said. "I fear that the hellhounds are on their way back."

She'd been right considering she saw the bright red eyes of a hellhound. It stayed in the shadows but it's eyes were easy to discern from the number of plants and trees. She glanced at her brother who had the same thought. They'd have to get to the car and lure that monster away from Celestial University.

"Come on, I've got a plan," Ezra said.

They took off out of the dorm and headed for the lobby.
