Ezra and Althea came racing back to the cabin along the way, they couldn't help but wonder what the hell had happened. All Althea recalled was coming face to face with mammon and Jennifer. The two arrived just in time to find that Abigail had sheathed her weapons. However, she noticed that Emily was nowhere to be found. The air seemed strangely calm. A bit too calm. Something didn't sit right with her. Not a single bird chirped nor did any angel even talk to them.
"Abigail?" Althea said. "What happened?"
Althea took a second to examine her best friend from head to toe. There were scars on her face and she had her classic resting bitch face on. As a matter of fact, Althea didn't even know where Peter had gone.
"Where's Peter and Emily?" Althea questioned.
"I don't know, one minute she was there and the next, she'd vanished," Abigail responded. "I had sent Lucifer miles away but at the same time I never ran into Peter,"
"We need to find him!" Althea exclaimed, suddenly she wobbled as if she was going to pass out.
"No, we will find him," Ezra said. "You get back into that cabin and get some rest, your exhausted," he continued. "Don't think I didn't notice you discovered your animal spirit,"
By her feet, the beautiful cat meowed as if she registered what her friends had said. Even though Althea could understand the cat. Shaking her head, she sighed and agreed to go back to the apartment while Abigail and Ezra went to search for the angel and Peter.
Peter, along with Emily broke away from the group to go after Jennifer. Jennifer was the key to knowing everything from Mammon and Lucifer's next step to the rest of the rituals that the demons and their followers were plotting.
Peter and Emily traveled through the forest, of course, Peter wondered why she didn't just vanish and reappear. It was the stealthiest way versus them running into Jennifer. The Witch hid herself well enough that it took them about two hours until eventually they came through the thicket and saw Jennifer bent over a creek washing her hands. A smirk appeared on Peter's face as he glanced at Emily.
"Emily?" he whispered. "Any ideas on how we're going to do this?"
"You could approach her and distract her," Emily suggested. "While I sneak up on her and knock her out,"
"Seriously?" Peter said. "That's your plan? Why don't you go out there and distract her?"
"Because. Peter. You know her more and she would not expect me to attempt to capture her,"
Peter grumbled to himself as he stood from behind the bush and made his way over to Jennifer. His stomach turned as he couldn't figure out the right words to say. He hadn't spoken to Jennifer since she entered the store and threatened him. So far most of the stuff she had said hadn't come to pass of course that's not to say that it might soon. He inched toward her only to stop when she lifted her head and looked around. Peter gulped and waited patiently before ultimately making his way over.
"Jennifer?" Peter said.
Jennifer turned and held out her hands as if she was going to send him flying but instead, he stood his ground.
"What do you want?" Jennifer asked. "You already got everything you asked for,"
"I just wanted to talk," Peter said as he glanced behind her without realization. "Look why are you doing this in the first place?"
"I know that what you did was probably the wrong move," Peter explained. "But I'm here to let you know that I need you to make the right decision this time," he continued. "Do you really want to work with those demons? If I could come back, why can't you?"
Jennifer paused. "That is not your concern, but unlike you and Alex, I know where my loyalties lie,"
"You mean how Lucifer and Mammon only used you to get topside?" Peter questioned. "I'm sorry but from the way it looks, they don't need you anymore,"
Jennifer glared at him. Her eyes seemed to fill with poison that is hatred. Even for him, he knew that he was in some deep shit. But if it means that they captured Jennifer and brought her back to the cabin. They were going to make sure she knew what was going to happen.
Instantly, Peter watched as Emily appeared before Jennifer.
"Parden the intrusion," Emily chuckled.
Jennifer turned ready to attack before Emily covered Jennifer's eyes making her pass out.
"Took you long enough," said Peter. "I was beginning to run out of small talk,"
"But you didn't," Emily responded.
Peter rolled his eyes and tossed Jennifer over his shoulder. Emily and Peter left their spot and made their way back toward the cabin. Along the way, the two came across Abigail and Ezra looking for them. The minute the two noticed what was over Peter's shoulder, Abigail and Ezra narrowed their eyes. Probably wondering what they were planning.
"Guys?" Ezra questioned. "What are you doing?"
"No time to answer, we got to get princess here back to the cabin for questioning," Emily said. Shrugging their shoulders, the four of them raced back to the cabin, where Althea was sleeping after her ordeal.
