A/N:
hey guys Paranormalnovelist here, I wanted to apologize for not putting out much of my stories. I've been mainly busy with literally work and all that. Plus a few other works in progress. I know I gotta focus on one but please be patient with me as I will do my best to write it.
Alex covered his eyes just as the trio appeared in front of them. Annoyed, Alex didn't even want to learn how Ezra and Emily escaped. The only thing he knew was that Abigail had something to do with it. He didn't want to believe that Abigail was able to bypass their boss and make it through to the angels.
"I don't know how you escaped," Alex said. "Nor do I want to know how you got to the cages Abigail, but I'll say this much, I'm not going to let you stop us from taking over!"
"Why do you hate humanity so much?" Abigail questioned.
Taken aback, Alex wasn't sure what he should say. No one ever asked them about their reasonings behind taking over.
"Why do you care?" Alex asked.
"No reason, I just want to know why you hate humanity," Abigail rephrased. "Why do you hate it so much that you want to send the princes of hell here?"
"Alex don't listen to her," Adam warned. "She could be trying to get in your head,"
"Alex..." Jennifer warned. "Don't you dare,"
Alex paused. Unsure of who to listen to. He shook his head and took a step back.
"I'm not going to tell you," Alex responded.
Alex looked between everyone and the angels before rejoining his friends. The minute he looked over at the angels they had already drawn out their weapons. Not willing to take any chances, Alex and his friends backed off and took off out of the house, leaving everyone in the basement stunned into silence. However, Abigail was not satisfied. She saw that something was off with the guy, and she wanted to know what. Of course, there wasn't a time to look back at that. Alex was also just glad to be out of there.
Of course, he couldn't help but think about the questions that Abigail asked him. What if there was something he wasn't thinking about when he joined the servants of evil? Could it even be possible to stray away from that? After all, Peter, did it? So why can't he?
The three of them escaped from their enemies.
"Alex, don't you dare rethink about our fucking team!" Jennifer exclaimed. "You better not turn against us like Peter!"
"What if I did?" Alex questioned. "You know that Abigail girl has some very good points,"
Adam scoffed. Jennifer rolled her eyes.
"The only thing that bitch is good for, is getting in our damn way," Jennifer said. "Now we need to meet up with Mammon, we need an explanation as to why or how Abigail was able to defeat him,"
Alex didn't want to say anything but ever since Mammon took control of that girl, he couldn't stop thinking about who the next vessel could be. Doing his research behind his friends back there was something important about the seven princes of hell being summoned. They needed human vessels to move around freely otherwise (even though they wanted to) they could scorch everything within a hundred yards of the nearest neighborhood. Or worse all over the world.
Pushing his thoughts aside, Alex followed his friends. The dirt crunching underneath his feet. Everything that happened gave Alex a renowned thought, what if what he was doing was wrong?
*~*~*
Abigail couldn't stop thinking about Alex's reaction to her question. Could it be possible that they hadn't thought that what they were doing was wrong? These thoughts constantly appeared in her head and there was no way she could get it out.
"Okay your quiet," Althea said.
The group wandered out of the house.
"What?" Abigail asked. She remained calm unsure of how to respond to her best friend. "I'm only quiet because I wanted to know why the Servants hate humanity so much,"
"It is because they are blinded," Ezra said.
Everyone turned to look at the angel.
"Meaning?" Althea asked.
"Meaning," Peter chimed in. "The minute they pledge their soul to Satan there is no getting out, and the further you are in, the more of a chance it will be for you to be gone,"
Abigail and Althea looked at Peter. They waited for an explanation, however when none came, the team continued back to their meeting place. Of course, Abigail believed that she could get through to Alex she just needed to find the right time to talk to him. Hell, maybe she'd be able to turn him around much like Althea was able to turn Peter back to the good side. It took some convincing but at least she could get through to him.
Abigail kept walking until they arrived back at their cabin. The group entered the place and split up to do their own thing. Peter had gone up to his room, while Althea had gone to the kitchen. Meanwhile, she sat down on the leather sofa. Her mind wandering. It didn't take long before someone sat down with her. Abigail glanced to her right and saw Emily sitting next to her. Her left arm propped on the backrest of the sofa.
"Alright, tell me what's going on?" Emily questioned her hazel eyes staring at Abigail.
"Nothing," Abigail responded.
"Seriously, what's going on?" Emily repeated.
Abigail sighed.
"You ever think that maybe the servants didn't know what they were doing?" Abigail wondered. "Cause it sure as hell looked like Alex was tripped up with my question,"
*~*~*~*
Emily listened to her charge as she wondered more about the Servants. It was true that she never considered the servants to have realized what they'd done. But it still wasn't right of them to summon demons. She understood that Wicca was a new religion, rarely looked down upon but that still did not give them the right to summon demons. And as a result, bring upon the downfall of the Lord's creations.
"No not that I have ever thought about it," Emily said. "Why?"
"It seemed that after we went face to face with Alex," Abigail explained. "He started to reconsider,"
"I don't know about you," Althea said out of nowhere. "But I don't think we should trust what Alex and our assumptions were,"
"Hey!" Abigail exclaimed. "I said the same thing to you about Peter! And look how that turned out,"
Althea paused. Emily noticed she turned beet red. The young Nephilim ducked back into the kitchen.
"Thought so," Abigail said.
Emily sighed. It made her wings ruffled and she wondered if her brother thought the same thing. Emily told Abigail that she'd be right back as she had to ask her brother a question. With a swish of feathers, Emily vanished and went to meet up with her brother. Ezra. She came to the second floor and saw that Ezra was in one of the rooms that she had assumed was Althea's due to the wall to ceiling filled books. While they were gone, she had made quite a room. Emily stepped into the room to find her brother sitting on the bed and reading a book. The spine was white with one of the titles in bright green letters RESERVED.
"Ezra?" Emily said.
"What?" Ezra responded, his green eyes looking up from his book.
"Can I talk to you?"
"Sure," Ezra responded closing his book.
