Emily groaned as she slowly began to wake up. Her Navy-blue wings ruffled and would not move. Her stomach dropped thinking that something was wrong and remembering that she had been out in the forest trying to figure out her next steps. The last thing she remembered was coming across her old charge Jennifer. A fight ensued and after that nothing.
Emily attempted to get up, however that didn't go like she had planned. She was chained up and anytime she would move, the chains would tighten. A cry of pain escaped from her lips as she struggled to break free. Her eyes adjusted as she saw that she was in a cold cellar. The flooring, she could tell was covered in dirt. Cobwebs lined the walls and the corners waiting for their next creature to come and latch itself onto the webbing.
The chains rattled, but rather, Emily focused all her attention on the room. Now a bit brighter when she saw the outline of everything in the room. A set of wooden stairs led up to the cellar doors, the wood since splintering. In the corner of the room, there was a shelf with old wine, now covered in cobwebs.
"Okay, either I'm in the world's creepiest cellar, or this is another test from my siblings," Emily thought to herself. "Unless I'm stuck in the cellar due to my encounter with Adam and Jennifer,"
A slow clap was heard from somewhere in the darkness. Emily looked around and homed in on the sound. Another slow clap and the cellar lights came on. A singular light bulb that barely even lit up the room.
"Nice going Emily, you have figured out you are in a cellar," Adam said.
"We were wondering when you would wake up," Jennifer chimed in.
"You were such an easy catch," Alex said.
Emily snarled, no wonder she was chained up, the Servants were the ones behind all this.
"Let me go," Emily ordered. "Or you'll answer to my weapons!"
"You mean these?" Alex laughed.
Alex held up her whip and rolled it up. He placed it on his belt loop and crossed his arms.
"Seriously, out of all the weapons you select as a starting angel, you pick a whip?" Adam mocked.
"She was always dimwitted anyway, everybody knows that you never bring a whip to a knife fight," Jennifer said.
"And yet I was kicking your evil butts," Emily scoffed.
The Servants walked toward her. They had an evil glint in their eyes like they were ready to do something to her. Not that she would have to worry, but at least she could fight back. If she ever got out of this place alive, she was going to kill Jennifer.
"You think that..." Jennifer started.
"Enough!" a voice boomed from behind the trio.
All eyes turned to the top of the stairs as Mammon made his way slowly down. Still, he was possessing the young girl that even Emily hated. The Strawberry blonde haired girl no longer looked the same she now had coal-black hair to match her coal-black eyes. Tattoos covered her arms and back with so much satanic shit that Emily didn't know what else to do, that girl was now gone and in her place was a soulless demon.
"We don't want to scare her too much now do we, my servants?" Mammon stated. "Now then, hello dear sister, it's been a while,"
*~*~*
Abigail knew something was up the minute Emily didn't return. She wanted to wait longer, but Emily was her spiritual sister. There was no way she was going to let anything happen to her. Althea was trying to calm her friend down, but nothing seemed to work, suddenly the cabin doors barged open. Peter came racing in out of breath.
"Where have you been?!" Althea exclaimed.
"I'm sorry, but Ezra and I had to go and find the servants hide out," Peter began.
"Where is Ezra?" Althea asked.
"He went ahead of me, so I turned around and came back, something is wrong, Emily... She..."
"I know, Emily is in trouble," said Abigail. "She hasn't returned. We must go find her!"
The trio didn't want to give up. If Anything happened to Emily, especially if they planned to do anything like what had been done to Ezra, no way was she going to lose her twin. Even though they had only met a few hours ago, Emily was as close as she got to a twin sister. Sure, Althea was like a sister to her but that was more along the lines of older sister and younger sister. They left the cabin and quickly took off in search of Emily.
"How are we going to find her?!" Abigail exclaimed.
Suddenly, two squirrels came racing down the tree. Caught off guard, Abigail turned to see what all the fuss was about. The little squirrels were running around the tree and the minute they saw her, they stopped.
What are you looking at ugly? One of the squirrels said.
"What the hell?" Abigail responded.
You heard him, what are you looking at ugly? The female squirrel, probably the other's mate responded.
"Okay that's just rude!" Abigail exclaimed.
"What?" Peter and Althea said at the same time.
"Who are you talking to?" Althea asked.
"The squirrels they're talking!" Abigail responded.
Althea and Peter looked between her and the squirrels as if someone had hit them over the head with a lot of confusion.
Your damn right we're talking, now are you going to get to the point pea brain? Or can we carry on with our little scurrying?
"Okay look squirrel brains, I don't need any insults, but I need to know if you've seen Emily?" Abigail asked.
We may have, but you won't get us to talk we need something. The female squirrel ordered.
"Okay this is creepy; Abigail are you going to tell us what they're saying?" Peter asked.
"They claim they have but they want something," Abigail translated.
Of course, the only thing Althea and Peter could here be nothing more than kuks and quaas. Matter of fact it was starting to piss her off. She just wanted the creatures to hurry up and tell them what they needed to know.
We need two nuts.
"I don't think you need help with that buddy," Abigail said.
You heard me, either get us two nuts or we won't tell.
