Abigail paced around the living room. Emily still hadn't returned and she was worried sick about her angel. Thoughts ran through her head as she worried about what could have happened. If Lucifer had escaped then wouldn't that mean the devil would come for her and try to turn her against everything she believed in. Abigail recalled Emily's past as she remembered how Emily had been human once and suffered from multiple possessions. When she watched the documentary the amount of possessions she remembered were the six demons, even Lucifer himself.
"You need to stop thinking about that," a voice said from behind.
Abigail whirled around to find that Emily had arrived just in time. Along with someone who she found impossible to see. The angel carried a sword by his side with a blue chest plate and a tunic with yellow and green.
"Emily?" Abigail questioned "Where have you been? And is that Archangel Michael?"
"I went to heaven," Emily explained. "I had to tell my brother about Lucifer,"
Abigail stammered over her words as she tried to figure out what to do at the sight of an archangel. Should she bow? Should she greet the angel warmly?
"Hush child," Michael said. "Where is Althea?"
"A..Althea..." Abigail responded.
Footsteps came down from the second floor as everyone in the room turned to find Peter, Ezra, and Althea coming down the stairs.
"Archangel Michael!" Althea exclaimed, she walked downstairs and bowed her head out of respect.
Ezra followed. But Peter stood in shock. He didn't know much about Archangels but there was no way Archangels looked the way Michael did.
"Hello Althea, brother, and..." Michael narrowed his eyes. "Peter..."
"Did this really have to happen now?" Peter asked. "Besides where were you when Mammon and Lucifer were released?!"
"Do not start acting like that toward me," Michael responded. "Especially not in front of my daughter,"
"Daughter?!" Everyone exclaimed at once.
Michael didn't have much to say, as he wasn't expecting everyone to act the way they did. Althea wasn't much help as she couldn't get very many words out.
Althea couldn't believe her ears. She'd never expected her father to be Michael the Archangel. She didn't even think that they would even mingle with the human world. But here they were. Mingling. Althea looked toward her friends, finding that they weren't saying anything. Even Peter. It kind of made sense now why they needed the blood of a nephilim in the beginning. A nephilim was powerful. More powerful than an archangel. Nephilim were banned from creation but here she was standing right in front of everyone.
"You can't be serious," Althea complained. "I get that archangels exist, but really? I understood that I was a nephilim but how the hell is it even possible?"
"It is hard to explain, which I will try later, For now we need to go and stop Lucifer," Michael responded, taking charge. "Emily tells me you have seen where Lucifer was summoned?"
"Yes," Ezra stated, stepping forward. "He was summoned in the clearing in the middle of the forest," he continued. "It's some form of ritual site that has not been used in years,"
Michael nodded.
"Then it seems we got a lot of things to do," Michael explained. "Though, Ezra, I'm not sure how you will be of use if you were turned human,"
"I can still fight!" Ezra exclaimed.
"I'm sorry but this just doesn't make sense," Althea complained. "I can't believe any of this, it's one thing to talk about empaths and special gifts but it's another to talk about how i'm related to an archangel!"
Abigail started to say it but immediately stopped herself as Althea turned and took off out the back door. Behind her, her friend, the angels, and Peter all called after her however they fell to deaf ears. Words couldn't describe her feelings toward everyone. She ran down the back yard and toward a nearby river which aided her to get calm.
She had been gone for a few minutes now and was too busy focusing on the river which drowned out any unwanted noise. Althea was ready to call it quits. There was no other way she could have gone through and talked to the angels. But at the same time she thought about how much she'd been given as a gift. How could the almighty god actually give her such powerful gifts.
A set of green eyes appeared in a tree focusing all its efforts on the girl who had been sitting in front of the river for the last little while. The animal had wondered why the girl came running. Although it never exactly thought about visitations. The animal had been waiting for someone to come by for a while now and with the girl sitting in front of the river it made things all the more curious. The cat felt drawn to the girl, such power always came with a cost, the cat's black and white fur twitched.
He jumped down and inched toward her. A soft meow escaped from it's lips as he rubbed his head and body on the human. The girl was caught off guard, her brown eyes wide with shock. For a while the cat thought he made a mistake, but slowly the girl's shoulders eased as she slowly reached out allowing him to rub on her hand, he also let her pet him.
"Now who are you sweet boy?" the girl said. "I'm Althea, I didn't know cats were roaming around,"
Unlike most animals, he didn't have a name. Althea watched him with curiosity.
Meow. He responded.
"You want me to give you a name?" Althea questioned.
Mew.
"How about Moonpie?" Althea asked.
Meow!!! The black and white cat said, flicking its tail.
"Okay Moonpie, it's good meeting you," Althea laughed as the cat began licking her.
"How touching," a voice said. "Talking to cat's now I see?"
Moonpie's back arched and a loud hiss came from his mouth. The stranger was tall and unlike most humans, Moonpie saw right through the human vessel. Standing before them he knew all about Lucifer.
