Althea found the entire thing strange to a point where she had no idea how to react. Knowing that her best friend could speak to animals was one thing. But learning that the squirrels weren't going to tell them unless they did something for them. That was another thing coming.

"You're kidding me, right?" Althea asked.

"The squirrels won't tell us anything unless we give them nuts?" Peter questioned. "What kind of sick joke is that?"

"It's what the squirrels wanted," Abigail responded. "After they insulted me with every name in the book,"

The squirrels began to make the kuks and quaas noise again, so Althea remained confused and quiet. Unsure of how to react to this.

"Hell no," Abigail said suddenly. "That's what those bucktooth teeth are for we aren't going to crack it for you,"

"Um, what exactly did the squirrels say?" Peter asked.

"I'm not going to go into detail about it, but we should probably look for two nuts," Abigail stated.

Althea grumbled to herself seeing as how the squirrels were literally insulting Abigail every which way. If she had it her way, then she would have taken a shotgun to them and killed them at point blank range. Of course, that wouldn't sit well with Abigail. Despite the squirrels needing the nuts. Peter was already two steps ahead of them.

He grabbed two nuts that he had found and walked over to the squirrels. Peter held the nuts out and waited for the squirrels to take it. The squirrels just stared at him like he was nuts.

"Listen here," Peter said. "Either take them or don't we aren't cutting it for you."

Despite the annoyance, at least Althea thought it was annoyance on the squirrels face, they reluctantly took it from Peter and started eating away at it. After they satisfied their hunger, Althea glanced at Abigail as she started talking to them. Still, Althea thought that it was interesting but strange considering it made her think about Greek mythology and satyrs. Althea knew that Satyrs were nature creatures and helped to communicate with the animals. In her mind's eye she thought of the Greek heroes that always popped into her head when reading.

Shaking her head and snapping out of her thoughts the squirrels stopped talking to Abigail and scurried up the tree. Abigail turned to them with a look of relief on her face.

"What?" Althea asked.

"They've taken Emily to a cellar, they're going to lead us to them," Abigail answered.

Peter scoffed. The squirrels came back down from the tree and jumped off. Together the trio and the two squirrels began heading toward the cellar location.

*~*~*

Ezra arrived at the cellar before his charge and his two friends got there. Unlike the humans, it made it easier for Angels to home in on their own siblings. No matter where they were and no matter how they were tied up the Angel would always be there for each other. However, upon arriving at the building, he could see strange markings all over the walls. At first, he didn't think anything was wrong, but the minute he stepped forward, he stumbled back as the pain was intense.

"What the hell?" He spoke.

"That's unlike any word I ever heard an Angel say," someone said from behind him.

The voice sent shivers down his spine as he remembered Mammon. Ezra turned to find Mammon still in his current meat suit. The once strawberry blonde hair had since gone darker, and she was now wearing blacker than anything else.

"Mammon," Ezra said. "Been a while, what? A year perhaps?"

Ezra stepped away from the building and summoned his weapon to his hand. The familiar cool silver touching his skin. It was an old tri-edge trench blade. Something that all angels including guardian angels were given when they'd completed their training.

"Very observant of you brother," Mammon said as he walked around.

Mammon glanced at the weapon and rolled his eyes. "Now why would you try to threaten your own brother?"

"You are not my brother," Ezra said.

"Not your brother?" Mammon laughed. "As I remember it, you never took sides," he continued. "And last I checked you didn't even like humans that much, what changed?"

Ezra remained calm, knowing that Mammon was just trying to get under his skin. They were at a standstill, one way or the other someone was going to get the last laugh. Mammon summoned his own weapon, a blade that Ezra recognized it almost instantly. Another blade made from heaven. He was shocked. Unable to comprehend how the demon got his hands on it. Unless. He thought to himself.

"Realization dawning on you yet Ezra?" Mammon said.

The demon made his first moved and attacked Ezra with the force of an elephant. Ezra nearly failed at the attack, but he managed to bounce back. Kicking the demon in the stomach and sending him careening into the tree. However, Mammon bounced back. He pushed off the tree with his feet and flew arms outstretched. Ready to grab Ezra when he least expected it.

Ezra avoided it and struck at his enemy. The demon got struck in the arm, since he was still an Angel, he yowled in pain. Smoke pooled from his arm as he growled and looked at it. He glared at Ezra and landed on his feet.

"You asshole!" Mammon exclaimed. "You will regret that!"

Against each other both fallen angel and Guardian angel fought with such force that Ezra could only assume the demon was ready to take him on.

Mammon swung his blade as Ezra blocked it and attacked with his blade. However, the demon didn't let him get that close again. Mammon attacked swinging the dagger again. Ezra blocked it and kicked the demon in the chest. He groaned and stumbled, Ezra walked toward him ready to deal the final blow but the next thing he knew, another force sent him from his spot and into a brick wall. Ezra groaned and tried to get up, but something held him down.

"Nice try dumbass," Adam said.

The familiar sandy-colored hair and gray eyes appeared next to Mammon.

"You..." Ezra started.

"Oh, don't be too shocked," Adam responded. "We knew that you would come to save your precious sister, but this time you won't be going anywhere," he continued. "All you got to do is go to sleep,"

Adam pressed two fingers to Ezra's forehead and caused him to black out.
