Station part 2

Travis's POV:
I got out of the car and walked round to Y/N's side, knowing how apprehensive she'd be.

"Come on sweetheart," I said, whilst unbuckling her seatbelt.

She didn't budge.

"You can go straight to Vic?" I suggested trying anything to get her out of the car.

Once again, she didn't move. She didn't even look at me.

I waved my hand in front of her face, and heard slight mumbling.

"What was that bumblebee?" I asked, not quite catching it.

I listened to what she was saying and she was counting in groups of four.

Why would she be doing that?

"Y/N?" I said softly.

"Stop," she whispered.

"What's wrong?"

"Stop!" she said, but much louder this time.

"What's going on? You can tell me," I reassured.

Anxiously, she turned her head towards me, and frowned.

"You interrupted my counting," Y/N mumbled.

"What counting?" I questioned softly.

"My counting," she repeated.

"Do you want to tell me about this counting?"

She shook her head and grabbed my hand.

Slowly, she pushed herself out the car and shut the door.

"Ready?"

"Not really."

Y/N's POV:
Whenever I get really scared, I use counting to help. It feels like it gives me control of what's happening.

Usually, I count in groups of four, because it's my safe number.

But when my counting gets interrupted, something bad is destined to happen.

I looked up and we were about to walk into the station.

I held my breath as we walked in.

"Breathe, sweetheart," Travis whispered to me.

I looked over at the front desk and realised that Jack was sat there.

"Hi there Y/N! How are you?" Jack asked enthusiastically.

"I'm okay thank you," I replied, as he got up from his seat and came up to us.

He opened his arms for me, and I gladly accepted the hug.

As we pulled away, he spoke up again, "I think Vic is in the beanery if you wanted to go see her."

I looked over at Travis, who nodded in encouragement.

Nervously, I headed for the stairs and walked up to the beanery.

When I walked in, I heard someone yell my name.

"Y/N!"

I looked around and noticed it was Andy and she was walking over to me.

"How are you doing angel?"

"I'm okay," I replied as she engulfed me in a hug.

"God I missed you," she said as we parted.
