Having pieced together the timeline from Sir Geoffrey's account, I realized that I had first encountered Cordelia approximately two years ago, coinciding with the period when she had just begun working at the Pixie Blessing tavern. As I mentioned earlier, my frequenting of that particular establishment was primarily due to its proximity to the Guild Lodge where I typically resided during my visits to Vermina. However, unlike my experiences at Master's tavern in Goldkorb, where I would often linger for meals and create lasting memories, I had not formed any significant impressions of this particular establishment.

It was during one of my visits that Cordelia took my order for the first time. Upon closer observation, I noticed that the tavern did employ several lovely female workers, it was no surprise that the majority of the patrons were men. But none of them could compare to Cordelia's captivating presence. Her deliberate closeness, confident demeanor, flirtatious gestures, and friendly manner all conveyed her position as the undeniable center of attention in the tavern. The tavern master must have cherished her presence, for she undoubtedly contributed to its popularity. Unsettling thoughts surfaced in my mind where I imagined Sofia might bear resemblance to her in both appearance and disposition as the main poster girl in Dragon's Paw tavern in future.

With a determined effort, I pushed aside my thoughts and made my way towards the tavern mentioned by Cordelia. Since I was unfamiliar with the area, I sought directions from a Guild officer, who provided me with guidance. Following their directions, I relied on my memory to navigate through the unfamiliar streets.

Gradually, I became aware of a shift in the atmosphere as I ventured further from the Merchant Guild area. The surroundings took on a shady ambiance, and the passing individuals, both male and female, appeared rough, bulky, and unkempt. It became evident that many of them were adventurers, mercenaries, or possibly even involved in the underworld. Aware of the potential risks, I remained vigilant, ensuring the safety of my coin purse. After some time, I finally spotted the Rusty Dagger tavern amidst the sea of similar establishments during my walk.

The tavern appeared small and carried an air of dubiousness, causing a flicker of concern to ignite within me. Doubts plagued my mind, questioning whether Cordelia truly intended to meet in such a place. Nonetheless, I stepped through the door, and to my relief, easily spotted Cordelia seated near the bar at a table reserved for two. Without uttering my name, she waved her hand in my direction, signaling for me to join her.

I observed her attire transformed from the waitress uniform to her daily garments, which were more modest and concealed her feminine allure. Her long red hair was elegantly tied up, lending her a maternal air. The shawls she wore accentuated that impression, yet they failed to completely mask her enchanting beauty.

"Apologies for my tardiness. Did you have to wait long?" I asked, expressing my regret.

"No, you're right on time. I arrived a little earlier after finishing my duties," Cordelia reassured me, her tone calm and composed.

Cordelia promptly ordered two modest ales and a simple plate of snacks for us to share. Surprised by her familiarity with the establishment, I couldn't help but express my astonishment.

"I'm surprised you know this place," I remarked.

"I've been friends with the tavern master for quite some time," she replied, waving her hand toward an elderly bald bulky gentleman whom I assumed to be the owner. I offered him a respectful bow. He responded to the gesture warmly in return. The tavern workers soon arrived, delivering our ales. Raising our tankards, we shared a toast, quenching our thirst with the refreshing drink.

As we set our tankards aside, "So.." Cordelia took the initiative in our conversation, "..what do you want to talk about, Takahiko?", she asked as if she was ready to address any questions I might throw her way. I noticed a familiarity in her gaze, reminiscent of a merchant poised to provide detailed explanations about their goods to potential customers. I decided to directly address the moment when Cordelia had abruptly interrupted my conversation with Sir Geoffrey.
